Happy Wednesday lovelies!!

Hoping all of your weeks are going well so far! I'm having a lovely week so far. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous! Being outside just makes me feel so happy! It makes me want to just close my eyes and take a deep breath and absorb all of this gorgeousness!

Today I am especially excited. I am hosting my first giveaway! As you may know, I have been partnering with Versona for a few months now. Today I restyled their blush, scalloped hem, suede skirt. I love the soft, feminine aura it has. I especially love it with this lacey crop top and denim jacket (a staple item in my opinion!) I am also pairing leopard print with more leopard print!

Hello all! Happy Monday!

I know Mondays aren't most people's favorite day of the week, yet I believe in celebrating every day! Each day is a new start. A clean slate. The opportunity to start over. But this particular Monday (the Monday after Easter) is particularly special. We just celebrated the ultimate clean slate that was freely given to us yesterday -Easter Sunday. I think that is why Easter is exciting to me. It reminds me of God's love for us all. It reminds me to treat others kindly because He also knows the numbers of hairs on their head and He created them as well and loves them just as much as He loves me. It reminds me that even though I am so very far from perfect, I have not been given up on and each day is a new chance to change, become better, work harder, and take more chances.

Which brings me to today's post. It is all about taking chances. For starters I opted for a white ensemble. That in itself is an enormous risk. It seems as though white clothing is a magnet for pollen, soot, mud, food stains, you name it, white attracts it. But I went for it anyway! I paired it with a printed scarf, collar necklace, and navy blue heels. There is something so remarkable about this outfit. I love it! And it came to me with such ease!  For me, fashion is a form of self expression. An outlet for my creative side. It gives me courage! I hope it does for you as well!

I know I mentioned the giveaway would happen today, however, I have had some issues technology wise in getting it up and running -grr. Bear with me! It will happen! I just have to learn how to work technology....  =X

TGIF!!! =D

This week has been so gorgeous! I have just been in such good spirits! Plus it is Easter weekend!! Which made me decide to try out this gorgeous dress from Newchic.com! New Chic is a lovely online mall that sells a wide variety of clothing and accessories for men and women!

They sent me this dress and another dress which I have used a few times on this blog. I really love the simple elegance of this dress. Those two elements work so harmoniously together with this dress. I did not want to over complicate it with a ton of accessories, so instead I opted for nude, strappy, Versona heels and a pop of red with the Versona clutch.

The layered statement necklaces I really love! They look like one incredible necklace, when in fact they are two. They draw the eye in and add just a little extra drama to the look without making it look over complicated.

Happy Spring!

I realize I am a day or two(?) late but oh well, I'm still excited!

Flowers are blooming! The weather has been gorgeous! Its about time to switch out my closet! Which means I have devoted several hours to meticulously going through my closet and weeding things out. For those of you who may be interested, I have several tips and tricks for this process that I would love to share with you in a future post!

But that is how I manifested this intriguingly unique ensemble. It is a head-to-toe Versona kind of a day apparently. From the dramatic, printed sweater, to the envelope clutch, to the red, peep-toe booties it is all Versona! The envelope clutch and booties are obvious staples, but the printed sweater is a real gem. Yet, I find that I have barely worn it since I got it. I can't for the life of me tell you why. It is simple in design, yet thoughtful (hence the printed sleeves and billowy silhouette). It is easy to style and always has a unique charm about it. But again, I find that I have only worn it a few times.

Its' partially due to the fact that my closet sometimes gets cluttered with things, which is why cleaning it out is so important. It ignites (for me) creativity as well weeds out all of the unnecessary clutter, thus leaving me with the very best pieces.

I began this meticulous process this afternoon and this was one of the first pieces I pulled out. I knew I wanted to incorporate it somehow and began to style around it. In the process I found three (and more) ways to style this piece. This was the look I settled on for today. It incorporates the casual, spring feel while the extra layer provides warmth (it has only been in the upper 50's the past two days). It is sexy yet classy, intriguing yet casual.

I am going to continue weeding through my closet and I will record all of the tips and tricks to share with you in the next post! =) I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think! Or if you have tips/tricks of your own I would love to hear them!

Hello! And Happy Friday!

I'm feeling a bit playful today, so I decided to have some fun with a simple graphic tee. I found this at Wal-Mart for $5. (Hard to beat that price right?) I just paired it with a flirty, faux-leather skirt, and polka dot, Charles David heels for a playful, flirty look.

Its perfect for Friday, perfect for spring, and perfect for this warmer weather, which I have been loving!

What better way to end a week (and side note; celebrate women's day) than with Beyoncé?!

Thus the reasoning for my blog title. At least that rings true for me. She has some amazing one liners that I repeat to myself on a daily basis, but then sometimes songs like 'XO' come on and they just hit exactly how I am feeling at the moment. Its strange. Its not so much that I LOVE beyonce (which I do) but this song in particular rings true for me for a number of reasons. I may not even realize that that song is what I need to hear until I hear it.  Yet there is something inspiring about it

But enough with my Beyoncé obsession, on to the fashion!

Today I felt like being casual. Thus the distressed girlfriend jeans, and GAP plaid button up. For whatever reason, blue rang out to me today and I decided to run with that theme. I paired the blue denim and plaid with blue Mossimo heels and a Versona structured gusset bag.

Hello my beautiful friends! 

hope you had a great weekend! I know I did! I enjoyed relaxing, hanging with the family, shopping (of course!) and blog shooting with Jennifer! =D

The weather was s amazing this weekend I could not resist breaking out a pair of shorts and a summery scarf for today's post! The outfit is simple. Classic, staple pieces; black shorts, a crisp white button down blouse. It is accessorized with a beautiful LOFT scarf, sexy cut out booties, and an Aldos bag.

Happy Freaking Friday!!

I don't know about you, but this week has felt excruciatingly long! I don't know why exactly. I finally have a weekend off from my full time job, which could be why 2 PM today could not come fast enough!

The whole week I have felt a little off, a lot on my mind, I'm haven't slept very well the past few nights.... etc. I could complain. Ultimately, I think what I do is very energetically draining. Anyone who takes pride and seriousness in their jobs (especially when working directly with others, caring for them, teachers, mothers, nurses, doctors, etc.) can probably relate.

I was so close to just saying 'screw it' to the blog today, for so many reasons. No outfits were coming together, Jennifer wasn't really feeling up to doing a shoot with me (understandably, she also has had a long week), and I ultimately just felt uninspired.

I fought through it ultimately, thankfully. I feel better  posting this blog. This is my dream. My passion. I think that is what gets me down sometimes. When I don't feel inspired or when ensembles don't come together the way I envision them those things in particular really upset me. I suppose dreams and passions have that effect. Evidently they do! I am living proof. Posting this blog really helped improve my mood, my energy, and renewed my faith in myself and my passion.

There is a way to everything you want. =)
