Happy Friday! 

So this happened, by accident. But it was a happy accident! I LOVE it when that happens! I had a completely different idea in mind -which I may use on a future post so I won't spoil it!- and then as I went to put this outfit together, 

So, typically, I like pops of color. But every so often I find a theme and just go with it. Today, if you couldn't already tell, today's theme is stripes! 

As I mentioned, this came about by accident. I had a different idea in mind, although the outfit did include this shirt and shorts combo.But then my eyes fell upon my striped bag. Then it hit me. Why not go with stripe?! So, naturally I did! And I didn't just stop with the shirt and bag, I decided to fully commit and went with striped heals too! 

I mean, why not!?

Hello and Happy Monday! 

I'm pretty excited about this look that I'm sharing with you today. I LOVE these longer, pleated skirts. I particularly love this deep orange color. These skirts are so easy to style and fun to wear. 

Today's look was just a by-chance. Honestly I wasn't sure what to wear for this post. I just opened my closet and my eyes fell upon these two pieces. The rest I pieced together my mixing and matching. I think what I like about this is that it captures my personality. Fun, flirty, unique, colorful. and full of surprises!

The booties are extremely comfortable! My Aunt gave them to me on her last visit and I've loved them since! They are one of my favorite pair of shoes!

Hello all! Happy Friday. 

Today's post is dedicated to one of my favorite people. She was an incredible piano player and played for us often at work. It was such a joy to hear her play. She played 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' a lot and because of her it became one of my favorite songs. I'm going to miss this little lady so much, but I'm so blessed to have known her and heard her play. She was AMAZING on the piano! She had moments of confusion at  times but she knew the piano like no other. She knew those keys and it always left me amazed. 

For today, I'd like to just leave it this way.

Happy Monday! 

Just a quick post for today! 

I originally began this piece as three ways to wear a trench vest, however, I couldn't get the pictures I wanted for today's post. I took them but the lighting wasn't on my side at the time. So I may try again tomorrow. 

So instead, I am continuing with the theme of over a dress. This is one of my favorite combinations! This asymmetrical hem of the dress, plus the light grey color against the nude color and structure of the vest, is striking. I've paired it before with red knee-high boots and it is still one of my favorite looks. 

The statement necklace is another one of my favorite pieces. It is large and glamorous, and I have to be careful when I pair it but it packs a punch when I do! Like with this look! 

It has the shine and the undertones of gold tie the outfit together.

This is one of my favorite pairings! It is just so lovely! From the color contrasts to the silhouette created, it is just wonderful! The two pieces really work well together to create such a classic look. The bundle-of-pearls necklace added a bit of texture! 

It is such an easy look to recreate! That is what I love about the trench vest. It has endless possibilities!

Okay, so going to be doing a three-part restyling segment over the course of the next three posts. I wanted to shake things up a little, try something a little different But also I LOVE this trench vest! From the design to the nude color it is extremely easy to style. It goes perfectly over jeans -or any color- but I particularly love the way it pops against these olive colored jeans. 

It is a very versatile. Switch up any other piece in the ensemble and you have a very different look.

Hello and Happy Friday! 

Today, has been wet, cold, and all around dreary. Which actually I don't mind. But clearly this shoot happened on a different day. 

On my days off, I try to get pictures of a few different outfits so I have them readily available in case work runs late, or like today the sky falls out and I can't shoot. 

Well this particular week I got a little behind I had pictures for last Friday and this past Monday but neglected to come up with a good post for today. 

Ooops! 

Annnnnd... of course it was pouring down rain when I got home today which eliminated a number of ideas I had for today's post. I was about to suck it up and venture out into the rain, when I happened to remember pictures I had taken two weeks ago and not ended up using. 

This I present to you, today's look! 

i got the idea for this off an Instagram post. It was about different ways to wear a sweater, and one way was knotted up over a dress Which I attempted with several different sweaters and dresses until this look had me sold! The colors of the sweater and dress mesh well. The coral bag is my pop of color. And if I'm being honest, I'll probably never get the sweater tied so perfectly again. :D 

But it worked out! And saved the day today!

Hello all!  And Happy Monday! 

I hope this week has started out well for you!

For me it was a rough start, I won't get into too much detail but I felt a little down. Today I am feeling a little better and I am excited to share this post with you! 

One of the reasons I love this look is because to the stark contrast. The bold green and white stripes against the pale blue is so beautiful. 

Not only do the colors compliment each other nicely, but I feel like they add so much character to the look! It is very unique and charming. The bold stripes, against the soft pleated skirt, horizontal vs vertical! It all works very well together, in my humble opinion. But really it is the colors, that anchor it. They are neutral enough to mesh well together.

Happy Friday my friends! 

Okay, so  unpopular opinion but I HATE this song. I hate it because it gets stuck in my head and I. Can. Not. Get. It. Out. Does anyone else feel me on that?

*Crickets*

Okay... I'll see myself out then....

In all seriousness, I can appreciate the song. The video is nostalgic of my teen years, and Ariana Grande is obviously extremely talented. And while she wasn't what I was thinking when I styled this look. It certainly has some Grande vibes. It is her signature look it seems! 

The thought in my head was that 'Hey! Those colors are similar! Let me try pairing them together!' I really loved the way it looked when paired together. This turned out to be another fun way to style this sweatshirt dress! I LOVE how comfy it is!  When I bought it initially I could not picture it with anything but sneakers. But this pairing was a fun surprise. I really loved the way it looked. 

Plus it kept me warm and comfy on this cool Friday! 

I added the circular bag as additional touch. With a monochromatic look like this, I wanted to add something that would really pop. This bag, did just that. The gold color meshed well with the maroon of the outfit, while not taking away terribly. And It added a little extra character to the look.
