Collared Trench Coat...

Hello!

Hope you are doing well!

Today I felt like dressing up a bit with a maroon sleeveless dress. To me this is such a simple, yet amazing dress because of its design. The cut is flattering for most body types. It is versatile; it can be dressed up with heels -like I did today. Or it could just as easily be dressed down with flats or sandals.

But since it is a little chillier than it has been lately, I kept warm with this light-weight, collared, BB Dakota trench coat. Have you ever found a piece and as soon as you saw it you knew you had to have it? That was how I felt when I saw this trench coat. Its perfect for spring.

Then there is the ruffled collar. I think that was the detail I fell completely in love with. It has a very polished, romantic feel to it.

Thanks for reading! Hope you have a great day! :)

TGIF!  :)

Am I right? I'm excited.

Today I chose a boldly printed wrap dress. It is so fun and has a bit of edge.

I feel like this dress elongates my legs. I know that sounds strange but I feel like a supermodel in this dress. Which is why I chose it for a Friday. Its the perfect day to indulge in yourself and feel good about yourself.

Thanks for reading and hope you have a great weekend! :)

Casual Wednesday:: Scarf and Pearls...

Wishing you all a happy Wednesday!

It is beautiful! It is creating this amazing, happy energy around me right now. Which I definitely need right. Random thought of mine but isn't it funny how you seem to get the break you need, when you need it the most?

I have had a lot on my mind lately and it has been causing me some stress. So, on this gorgeous day, I decided I was just going to be care free and whimsical. I decided simplicity was the key and to accessorize around the simple, base pieces.

I chose jeans and a maroon camisole as my simple, core pieces and accessorized with a flowing, patterned scarf and a long pearl necklace. I love the way the two  pieces intertwine almost like they could be one piece. (Hmm... that could be an interesting idea...) I also paired a pair of Lower Eastside pumps that added an even more carefree feel.

The Mossimo fedora and the over-sized Versona clutch (a personal favorite of mine) just added a chic feel to the carefree ensemble. And with the approval and help of my trusty sidekick, Luna, I felt this ensemble worked perfectly. Its perfect for a night out with friends, a summer concert, or even just running errands -for which I added a light-weight jacket.

On a short side note, I would just like to get something off of my chest in the form of advice. Cherish your loved ones. Your family members. Let go of hard feelings towards others. Give up feuds with others. Life is short and precious, and it is important to let your loved ones know that you love them always. No matter what.

Thanks for reading. Wishing you all of the love and peace in your lives.

Lace Dress with Crop Top and Embellishments...

Hello and Happy Monday!

To kick the week off, I decided to restyle a blue, lace, Forever21 dress with a striped crop top for a different look.

The crop top helps dress down the lacey dress, which has a much dressier feel on its' own. But it is still classy and fun.

I chose the R&J bag to add a fun pop of color.

Rainy Day Post: Military Inspired Pieces...

Hello!

It is a rainy day here in the QC -thanks to my sister for the help with the title of this blog- and while things are a little dreary I decided it was a good time to experiment with the military-inspired trend that is popping up all over right now.

I paired a knotted, striped GAP (by the way they are having a great sale at the moment!) top with black skinnies and a Premium Outerwear army green jacket for a quasi uniform look.

Of course I had to add a touch of color to combat the dreary weather, I went straight for my yellow, Limelight heels which are quickly becoming a favorite/staple item in my closet.

Happy Friday! :)

It is good to see the sun shinning today! Today I was feeling ambitious and excited about things coming up. So I decided to make some bolder choices with my ensemble.

I paired a Mossimo, open-backed knit top (although you cannot really tell it is open back because of the belt I used) and fuchsia Forever21 skirt together (a personal favorite!) I used strappy heels as well. And of course an over-sized Versona clutch.

This ensemble makes me feel stunning. It makes me feel like I can conquer anything. Isn't it funny how an outfit can effect your mood or how you perceive yourself?

Thanks for reading! Have a great day and a great weekend! :)

Casual with a Pop of Color...

Hello!

Here in the QC it was rainy and chillier than it has been lately.  So I kept the ensemble casual today. I paired a Frenzy skirt with a Mossimo sweater for warmth.

But for a pop of spring color, and to keep my mood positive, I chose bright yellow, Limelight heels and a Forever21 bag.

I really like the result. The pop of colors add charm to the otherwise dull ensemble. It is eye catching and I believe it almost enhances the other pieces.

Hope your week is going well!

One Ensemble, Two Different Bags, Which Look is Better?...

Happy Monday!

You will be happy to know -I hope- that I should be back on track as far as my posting schedule! I got a new laptop which I am very excited about.

So today I decided to pair a patterned collard sleeveless blouse and a bold red Chause New York blazer with shorts and Versona heels. To me this is an effortless look and yet very chic and versatile.

When I initially put the pieces together I had several errands to run and I needed a bigger bag to tote my things. My first thought was the black and blue color block Chantel bag. I do like the way it looks with the ensemble and of course it is convenient for running the errands. Plus it adds a little pop of unexpected color.

Later I switched to a small, black Jessica McClintock clutch for a night out with some friends. I also like the way that looks as well. Of course it provides a more sophisticated, classy look.

Isn't it funny how just the simple switch of a bag can give an ensemble a different feel? It is a wonderful part of fashion that I am enjoying exploring and learning.

Feel free to let me know that you think! And as always thank you for reading! :)

Hello and Happy Friday!

I apologize once again for the delay in posting. I am having a bit of a time with my laptop, I am afraid it is done for. :( I am in the process of finding a new one.

Today I went with light weight pieces; a breezy, sea foam green blazer. The loose fit and unique cut is fun, flattering and easy to accessorize. I paired it with shorts and gladiator inspired, Mossimo heels.

Hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for reading! :)
