Hello to everyone! 

Today I tried something very outside of my comfort zone -a cape. I know, I know it sounds strange. My sister made sure to make plenty of fun of me when I told her about it. :P 

I have seen several capes a few different times recently and they look so chic and sophisticated but I did not think I would be able to pull it off. Then I found this cream-colored Versona cape -on sale no less- and felt intrigued to buy it. 

It took sometime, pairing it with different ensembles to find a look I really liked. I love the way the royal blue of the dress (from Gap) is accentuated by the neutral color of the cape. It makes me feel very feminine and chic wearing this. 

The long beaded necklace with different shades of blue ties in perfectly. 

I am excited to experiment more with this cape in future posts. Stay tuned...

Hello Happy Tuesday! 

Today I went for a comfy-casual look. I love the look of these snake-print pants. The color and the print is so different to me. And I love the way the colors in the pants and the turquoise Mossimo top play off of each other. 

They are different shades of similar colors and the statement necklace -Sophie and Kate- ties in well also.

The R&J bag adds for a splash of color. Which helps the outfit stand out in my opinion.

Hello and hope everyone is having a great Sunday! 

I am, so far! The weekend has been so pretty! It started off cold but got to mid 50's yesterday and today. 

For today's post, I decided to go out on a limb and combine two statement pieces. The red pants add a nice splash of color, which is refreshing after a season full of darker tones. 

The peplum, rose-patterned top is the other bold piece. It is simple in color, but the pattern adds a unique touch to it. I personally feel like the colors work together well to create a fun, polished look that will get attention. (The good kind of attention!) 

I kept the accessories simple so they would not compete with the rest of the ensemble.

Hello! Happy Thursday! 

Hope you guys are doing well!

The weather here in the QC is constantly changing. The last two days have been mid-60's and then today it got pretty chilly once again. 

Good news for me because I love coat, scarf, and boot weather! 

I love the look and feel of this coat (Runway Paris). Because I am shorter, finding a nice fitting pea coat can be somewhat challenging. If I find one that fits properly, usually the sleeves are too long or hits me down by my calves and makes me look even shorter. But it was a Godsend when I found this coat. 

The sleeves are cotton and elastic so they fit me perfectly. It fits me properly in all of the right places and does not make me look terribly short! The pattern is fun, eye-catching, unique, and the simplicity of the color combination makes it easy to accessorize with various colors. 

Today I paired it with an orange, over-sized scarf and maroon, forever 21 bag. The Pink and Pepper booties are relatively new -I got them over the holidays- are from Franchesca's -during a great sale! :) 

I have a feeling this will be very versatile, I am excited to find out!

Hello! 

Hope everyone's week is going well so far!

Today I did something I have never done before! I wore shorts with tights! I was not sure how I would feel about it but I played around with different combinations until I found this combinations that I really like!

Today was beautiful -it was 66 outside- so this ensemble felt appropriate. It still has the sophisticated, professional feel and yet still has a fun vibe as well. 

I paired it with a navy, sweater which I actually layered over the loose fitting polka dotted blouse. 

And the bag is from Versona!

Just wanted say a quick hello!

So in that spirit I felt inspired to post about one of my favorite Mossimo blazers (from Target!) I got lucky pairing it with a graphic print tee. I was not sure if they would work but I decided I would try and I loved the results! 

It gives it a fun, refreshing feel in my opinion!

A quick hello and happy Friday! 

Today was warmer than it has been in a while, so I decided to have some fun with a bright blue, lacy dress. And since it was still chilly, I added a sequined Mossimo sweatshirt for warmth and more laid back look. 

The Versona bag I have restyled several times and the heels are Mossimo as well.

Hello and hope everyone is having a fabulous Tuesday! 

The very beautiful and always amazingly chic Kate Hudson once gave a piece of fashion advice that has resonated with me since. It was something along the lines of: 'dress simple and accentuate with accessories.' 

So that is what I decided to do today. I kept the pieces simple but accessorized with pieces that were bright with color and character but are comfortable, warm and compliment each other 

The fedora I have had for years and I have worn it many times! I have a special place in my heart for hat. They can add such character to an outfit. 
 
I was comfortable and warm all day today!

Just a quick hello on this beautiful Sunday! 

Today I wanted to keep things casual, comfortable, and warm so I went with a simple sweater paired with a turquoise blazer.

And, for an added layer of warmth, a leopard print scarf. I have come to love this scarf over this winter season. It is easy to accessorize, comfortable, and versatile.
