Patterned Midi Skirt...

Dropping in for a quick hello on this beautiful Sunday!

I have been having a great weekend so far -I hope you have too!

Last night I drank wine and laughed with several good friends of mine and tonight I am celebrating my sister's birthday! I am so blessed to have these great people in my life! :)

Today I decided to have some fun. I have had this Apt. 9 midi skirt for a while now, before I even knew what a midi skirt was! I was drawn to it because of the gorgeous patterns and the tulle fringe at the bottom.

I played around with several different pairings -because after all that is what fashion is all about!- and ultimately fell in love with the look created with this lace Mossimo crop top.

It creates a classy, chic, festive energy and makes me feel inspired. Isn't it funny how something like a great outfit can create that kind of feeling? It's strange and yet great.

Once I had decided on the two  main pieces, the rest of the ensemble fell into place easily. The heels are also Mossimo and the clutch is Jessica McClintock.

Thanks for reading and happy birthday to my great sister and roommate, Kelsey! You are awesome and thanks for supporting me and my blog, even though you sometimes laugh at me, you still come through when it matters! :) I love you!

Chilly Temperatures Won't Get Me Down...

Hello!

And TGIF! :)

Today brought about cooler temperatures -not unusual for NC- but even after a week or so of amazing weather, these cooler temperatures don't bother me!

Don't get me wrong I have been loving this amazing weather but part of me has been wistfully putting my boots, scarves, leggings, and sweaters in the back of my closet for another six or seven months.

Then this cool day happened! As if one last day for me to break out a great pair of boots!

Its silly, I know.

But I  kept warm with layers! I paired a chambray inspired button-down top with leggings and Limelight boots. Of course my trusty Mossimo fedora came in handy too.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Thank for reading! :)

Hello!

We are half way through the week! Yay! :)

Today I decided to go with a very simple color palette; beige and black. I let the stripes be the main focus.

I love how the stripes continue on from the dress and in to the heels. I think it kind of gives a look one might not expect. At least that is how I feel. Its a bolder look.

I let the earrings be a pop of accent color -although I am not sure how well they stand out in the pictures, I apologize a new camera is in the works! ;)

Thanks for reading!

Hey Everyone!

Happy Monday!

Just wanted to drop in and say a quick hello! :)

Today I wanted to go for a simple yet very fun, spring inspired outfit.

The dress is from Gap. I layered it with a lace crop top and a red statement belt.

In an effort to keep the pieces of this ensemble small but effective, I restyled a Jessica McClintock clutch.

Thanks for reading!

Hope you are having a wonderful day! :)

Hello!

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend so far!

The ensemble I went with for this beautiful Sunday morning is a simple ensemble that still has impact.

I used a basic white Gap t-shirt and jeans as a starting point and went from there. I enhanced it with pops of color; a red, relaxed Chaus New York blazer and bright blue Nine West peep-toe heels.

I completed the look with a multicolored Jessica McClintock clutch.

The whole ensemble is effortless and chic, and the bright colors create a happy energy. It has me in a great mood today!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend! Thanks for reading! :)

Playing with Prints and My Hat Experiment Continues...

Hello and TGIF!

Today I decided I go with a slightly darker color scheme. The elephant print top -Forever21- is a great top! It is comfortable and elephants just happen to be one of my favorite animals.

I paired it with dark skinny jeans and leopard print heels.

I also experimented once again with hats. Today it was another wide brimmed fedora I found at Target. The drop, beaded necklace is also from Target!

I hope you guys enjoy!

Playing with Colors: Rose and Emerald...

Today I just wanted to drop in and say a quick hello to everyone!

I kept things simple today in terms of style and even colors. I really only wanted the rose color in the skirt and the emerald green in the earrings to be the stand out colors, so I kept the other colors simple and relatively neutral.

I love the way it turned out!

Let me know what you think!

Thanks for reading! :)

Attempting a Romper...

Happy Sunday!

Today is so nice it inspired me to try something I have never tried before...  a romper!

A romper of sorts. Ordinarily I tend to stay away from rompers and jumpsuits -though I do love the look of them and I am on a mission to find the perfect one for me! But being short, they both hit me in unflattering areas and enhance the fact that I am short.

However, this L8ter romper is a little different. The cut and design is classier than the usual romper -in my opinion. It hits me in the right areas; chest, waist, and legs -accentuating my best features. The uneven, criss-cross hem in front adds a unique touch. It adds a little length to the romper.

I added the beaded blue necklace from Forever 21 for an additional glam look. I used it as well for a lengthening illusion.

The Joey heels are a fun touch I felt inspired to incorporate. I love the colors used in them, they make me feel happy. :)

Thanks for reading! Enjoy this gorgeous day! :)

Textured and Chambray Pieces...

Happy Friday!

To celebrate the weekend I decided to create a semi casual look.

Today I paired a textured skirt (from Forever21) with a light colored chambray shirt (Target). I love the skirt! It is a mixture of uneven lines and lace details but it give it a great textured look.

I incorporated both a red belt and leopard print heels as additional touches of accent color and flare.

The deep violet clutch is a Versona find -I love that store too much probably! ;)

Thanks for reading! Have a great weekend!

Printed Front Slit Skirt and Crop Top...

Happy Wednesday!

I am very excited about today's post. I found this printed, front slit skirt at Target and it was an instant addition to my closet. I just had so many ideas for it.

The lace crop top (also from Target) was not one of my ideas but when I was pairing it with different things I decided to pair the two for fun.

I loved the way the two pieces look together!

It has a fun, sexy, yet classy feel to it and it is simple as well. I kept accessories simple and paired it with a Versona clutch. The heels are a nice touch that add a touch of class and sophistication to the ensemble.

I was excited to share this particular ensemble with you guys, but I found plenty of other ways to wear this skirt -making it very versatile.

I hope you guys like it! Thanks for reading! :)
