Comfy, Cozy: Oversized Shirt, Jumpsuit...

Hello and Happy Friday!

I have a feeling this is going to be a summer of jumpsuits -at least for me!

I have at least three really comfortable, light weight jumpsuits that all can work for just about any occasion! This one I actually found at Target towards the end of last summer actually. I wore it a bit in the fall -it worked great for that too- but it can easily transition to a great summer piece as well.

This look is a pretty lowkey look, perfect for running errands!

I personally love the look of the oversized button up over top of the jumpsuit. It provides extra coverage. It is also light weight, so I will not be too warm. AND if I do get too warm, I can tie it around my waist for another chic look!

It also just elevates the overall look in my personal opinion.

I have a trip coming up, so I am beginning to plan out looks I want to shoot there, and what to pack. That is never an easy task for me! I tend to overpack! But this maybe an outfit I pack! I will keep you posted!

I am excited to share this look with you guys!

I do not know about you guys, but I am loving this oversized style lately! That is exactly what I am experimenting with today.

I love these wide legged jeans! In my opinion they are ultra chic! And I wanted my first look styling them to continue with that theme of ultra chic.

I paired it with an oversized blue blazer and a little lace underneath for a pop of color and texture.

I fully committed to this look with this statement necklace which is overly dramatic in all the right ways!

I completed the look with a silver bag and heels!

It's a great look for a party, business meeting, girl's night or date night, brunch -you name it, this look is a pretty versatile look!

The only downside is that it is a bit on the warm side for this time of year if you are out and about during the day.

Represent Urself Part 2...

Represent yourself.

It is such a simple phrase, but it can be interpreted in so many ways!

My friend Tamisha Outing is the designer behind these powerful tees. She had a line that recently showed in a fashion show this past Saturday. I was not able to attend so I wanted to show her some love today!

This is my second tee from Tamisha, and right away I had this styling in mind!

The black and gold color combination is very dynamic and a great way to dress up a tee. It gives a sophisticated, chic feel in my opinion.

The iridescent tights, albeit a bit hot for this time of year, are always a fun touch! They are so charming! I have no regrets buying them and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a simple/small way to elevate or change up their style!

Now, I'm a little new to styling colorful shoes with tights -I cannot explain why it took me so long, but now that I have, I'm never going back! It is another small way to change up your style and get more wear out of your shoes.

Purple Rain: Lavender Dress, Oversized Sweatshirt...

Hello all!

Just a quick post for today because I am exhausted! I went to a concert last night, which was magical! An absolute dream! I sang and danced my heart out all night!

Unfortunately, I did not think to request off work the next day. So, a late night turned into an early morning, and now here we are. xD

This combo is one of my new favorites!

I am a big fan of a solid casual look! And this look fully encapsulates my current desire for comfort!

Both pieces are from Urban Outfitters. The dress is a lovely piece but fits oddly on my chest. It may take me some playing with to fully be able to style it on its' own. But in the meantime, I tried it on and tried the sweatshirt on over top. It was really just to get a feel for the sweatshirt, but I ended up loving the way they looked together!

I love the color and the slouchy-meets-feminine contrasts of the look.

I threw some converses in just to give it a bit more of a sporty look!

Lace, Lilac, and Emerald Green...

Happy Friday to you all!

I am excited to share this post with you today! It is a playful, feminine look that I instantly fell in love with!

Most of this look was planned out. The pearls were a last-minute decision, one that I am glad I made!

My initial thought was that pairing the cargo styled skirt with a lacy top would be an interesting contrast. One elevated piece paired with a more casual piece. Plus, the colors went together well.

The emerald green shoes and bag would be my pop of color!

I did not realize how much I would love the green against the lilac! This is one of my new favorite color combos! I cannot wait to pair these colors together more often!

And the pearls take the look to the next level! Pearls always have a way of elevating a look. They are classy and underrated in my opinion. I love to layer pearl necklaces! I have done some dramatic layering with pearl necklaces before, and it never feels like too much! Instead, it feels like a classy statement.

A statement that says, I can be feminine and have fun with styling, but I'm also a boss lady too.

Spicy Night Out: Sheer Top, Silver Heels, Red Lip...

Hello all!

I love this look that I am sharing with you today! I have really fully embraced this sheer look and I am not looking back!

I wore this look out to an event recently and got several compliments on it!

Black and silver are a killer color combo generally speaking. If ever I need a really sharp look or want to turn up the heat, that is the combo I turn to! And the red lip? That is just the chef's kiss!

I feel like this sheer, lacy top elevates this look to another level! I think when styling sheer pieces, it is important to find balance. For example, with the sheer skirt a few posts back, I made sure to pair a longer blazer with it so my butt and upper thighs were not completely exposed.

With this lacy top, I opted for a full coverage bra from I.C. London. I did not want a lot of cleavage showing since it is sheer. I think leaving more to the imagination is sexier than putting everything out there!

Also, I paired higher waisted paper-bag shorts for a more polished look. It has a bit of coverage, and I love the contrast between the lace and the pleather materials.

Canary Yellow Kitten Heels Plus Denim...

Well, we had a string of gorgeous days, so the wild rainstorms we had yesterday and last night were definitely coming.

Truthfully, they were mild compared to what some people have endured especially out in the mid-west, for that I am grateful. Some of the videos I have seen of the tornadoes out west are anxiety-inducing!

As you can tell, these pictures were taken on one of those gorgeous days!

This look was actually a bit of a happy accident. I was going to style a different look with the skirt -which I still style later on- when this graphic tee caught my eye. I have not worn it/styled it in a minuet, so I decided to style it instead!

The outfit was styled around these gorgeous kitten heels.

They were my focal point.

I have had them for a moment now but have not styled them yet. But now they are about to be all I wear!

I love them! The canary yellow color! The thick, chain detail! The comfort! -They are extremely comfortable!

And they work so well with this look! They add the perfect pop of color to this look.

I have a few other outfits to style these shoes with for the future! So, be on the lookout for that!

A Hot Pink Vs. Lilac Color Story...

Hello all!

I am feeling really good today! I felt like this Monday called for a dose of color!

This is a pretty bold color contrast, but I think it works! To be fair, the way I edited the pictures, the top looks even brighter than it actually is. This is another really great look for Spring.

I love how this look is both feminine and playful. I love a good cargo design!

And it is oh-so cozy!
The whole look is very comfortable to wear out and about! Perfect for running errands or meeting friends for lunch!

I have a few other ideas for both the skirt and the top. And I will have some time to get a few looks shot coming up! I have a couple of days off, and I am READY.

Hello! Happy Friday!

We have been having some gorgeous days lately! As you can probably see in these pictures. But Spring and sprung and we are already moving quickly into summer.

But before we get too far into summer, I want to share a few more spring themed looks with you!

Depending on who you ask, this bag is yellow but in my mind it is neon green. Lime green maybe? So, my thought process for this look was different shades of green. Granted, once I saw the bag against the green trousers, I felt like it was a little closer to yellow than I would have liked. But I went ahead with it anyway.

I could not have picked a better setting though!

The green and yellow of the bushes in this location really worked in my favor! =D

On another note, I am in the market to find a new alterations place! I feel like at the place I have been going to the prices keep going up, but the quality of the work has not been as good lately.

So, if anyone has any recommendations, please send them my way!
