Battle of the Drop Hem Dresses...

Hello and Happy Monday!

So, this is probably my last double post for a little bit -we will see though! And like the last post, I am not sure if I will make a cut this time. I really like both of these dresses and  since they are similar in design, I decided to post them together.

The maroon dress from LOFT is one of my all time favorite dresses! The color is beautiful and goes with just about anything. It can be dressed down, like I have for this post, or dressed up with heels. There are endless ways to style it! Plus the drop pleated hem adds a bit of character to it.

The second dress is from Shein.com. I love it for so many reasons! The dramatic color blocking, the flirty ruffle hem, the fact that it is extremely comfortable! It is another dress that is very easy to style. I tend to dress this dress up more, but it could easily be dressed down as well.

So again, I'm not sure that I will make a cut this go round.

Thank you for reading! Have a great week!

XOXO

A Tale of Two Dresses...

Hello and Happy Monday!

Its been a busy one for sure! But I found time to squeeze another shoot in! I really need to make a point to shoot throughout the week so I don't get myself into a time crunch! That's my goal for this week!

So, I am still on my closet purge! Believe it or not we are getting close to the end of the dresses! How about that!? You guys have been a huge help in this process!

For this post I'm not exactly sure I'm going to make a cut. I really like both dresses! I suppose if there are strong feelings about a dress in particular maybe that will change! We will start with the first, the blue Prolong dress. I found this at Target and instantly fell for the rich blue color and the knotted detail of the dress. Plus it fits well and it is pretty versatile. Jewelry options are endless as well! My biggest hang up was with the sleeves. For some reason in the mirror the sleeves have always seemed off to me.

However, I began editing these pics and realized I really loved the way it photographed! It seems to fit better than I realized and the sleeves were not as big an issue as they seem to me when looking in a mirror. Maybe it is just in my head?!

The second dress, I have had for a while now! It never fails me! It is so comfortable and effortless. I've worn it many times to run errands or for lunch dates. To dress it up just add some heels and a necklace! My only complaint is during the summer it can be a little warm -which is of course when it gets most of its' wear. (I have styled it in winter as well, just throw on some tights and booties and you're good!) So, while the thicker material equals a little more sweat its not unbearable.

For me they both seem like keepers! Do you guys have different thoughts? Feel free to let me know!

Thanks for reading!

XOXO

Flare for the Dramatic Fashion...

Hello and Happy Friday!

So, the "Up to You" post from Sunday was not as unanimous as last time! BUT the green dress was the most popular this time, so it will be the keeper! Thank you for the help! I have to say, I love editing my closet this way! I -one of the most indecisive people alive- don't actually have to make the hard cuts! (Granted I do love the other dress too, so giving it away still won't be easy!)

Today I'm showing off a birthday gift to myself. This printed Shein.com maxi! If you have followed my blog for a bit, you may know I have a thing for dramatic fashion! This is no exception! The print is beautiful, the colors are dynamic, and the design is dreamy! It flows so beautifully when you walk.

I easily could have gone with any heel -white, nude, blush pink, or black- but I chose these black booties because I love the tough character it adds to the look!

I'm currently look for a black fedora to pair with it. I was hoping to have it for today's post, but I began to run out of time and I promised to share it on this post!

I hope you like it! Thank you so much for reading!

Have a great weekend!

Hello all!

I missed Friday's post -I apologize! Friday was my birthday and I had a lot going on that day. So to make things up I figured I would post on a Sunday!

I am back on my closet purge and I need your help again! The last time I tried this, it was a huge success! I was able to edit a piece from my closest much easier. Plus it was fun to see the reactions! So I'm trying it again! This time with two more of my favorite dresses.

This emerald green one is one of my long time favorites! The design and fit of it is gorgeous, the color -also gorgeous, easy to style and flattering as well. Plus is has POCKETS! Its hard to beat a dress with pockets, in my opinion!

The other is from K La Boutique, and it is another that I have loved a lot! I have found many ways to style it. I threw my favorite trench vest over it, I've paired it with a dramatic necklace, and today I paired it with tennis shoes. I love the airy, dreamy feel of this dress. I love that its neutral enough in color to style in many different ways.

For me both of these are great dresses! But I'm leaving it up to you to tell me which you prefer!

Thank you for your help and for reading! I can't wait to see how this post goes over! ;D

Also thanks for all of the birthday wishes and love! And to the best friends a girl could ask for! I love you all so much! You have no idea!

Pausing for a Romper....

Happy Monday!

Thank you for all of your help on my last post! Almost everyone liked the yellow, Shein dress the most, so I suppose I will be retiring the floral dress. This is not going to be easy -although I think my Mom likes it so maybe it can stay in the family- however it was helpful and I may need your help again in the future!

But for this post, I'm pausing my purge for a snake skin romper!

I hope this post does not traumatize my sister, who is scared to death of snakes, as am I actually. D=

But for me, at least, there is nothing to fear here! This is definitely going to be my birthday outfit! I love this romper! I stopped by Vestique Boutique after I saw a snake skin dress on Instagram that I really liked. They only had one left and sadly it was not my size. I say sadly but it may have been a fate thing because I stumbled upon this romper that I like much more! I think it fits me better than the dress would have. Plus it is still snake skin print -which is something I have been on the hunt for for awhile now.

Snake skin print has been popping up for a while now and I love it! I'm typically more of a leopard print girl but the more I see the snake skin print, the more I like it! The darker hues are perfect for styling. My first instinct was to pair it with baby blue colored accessories. However, I resisted that urge and went with emerald green earrings, which are equally as stunning!

I hope you like this as much as I do!

The next time I post it will be my birthday and my fifth birthday as a blogger!

Thank you so much for reading and being with me on this journey!

XOXO

Hello and Happy FRIDAY!!

I am still working on my closet purge project. It has been going slowly and my room is a little bit of a disaster, but believe it or not I'm making progress!

Today I'm switching things up a little. I need your help! I have two dresses I really like, but I need to get rid of one of them. I am having a hard time with this particular cut so I want you guys to do it instead! I will tell you a little about each dress and then leave it up to you to decide. I'll read your comments here and on my social media sites!

Okay, first up we have this beautiful yellow number! Why do I like it? Its simple, yet it stands out incredibly. It is very comfortable and airy -which is very important as we head into the summer! It is versatile. It can go from day to night easily. It  is also very easy to style. I can switch up the shoes, the belt, the bag, and add accessories or keep it simple. Bonus! It is from my all time favorite -Shein.com!

The second dress I have had for a few years now. I remember the day I got it, it happened to catch my eye and I loved it! The bright flowers against the nude color dress -beautiful! The playful ruffle hem -adorable! It is the dictionary definition of a summer dress. I think I got it for next to nothing, maybe $20? Great with wedges, strappy heels, tennis shoes, and/or flats!

So, you see my dilemma? I can't choose! I need your help! Whichever dress is most popular I will keep!

Thank you so much!

I'll let you know the results on Monday! ;)

An Oldie But a Goody...

Hello and Happy Monday all!

I'm back at my closet purge project, but not off of my Shein love fest! This is just a happy coincident though in all honesty. This happened to be my next dress in my closet. And it is one of my favorites!

It is just so effortless! I've worn it several times here. I've dressed it up in blue heels and a bag to match. I've gone a more casual route, with tennis shoes and a light sweater. Today I paired it with nude heels! I think this combination is one of my favorites. The nude heel is always one of my go-to styles because it has a leg lengthening affect (and I can use any extra height I can get! ;D)

I'm pretty sure this dress is going to make the cut this time around, especially going into the summer season!

Thank you for reading and have a great week!

XOXO
