Hey all and Happy Friday!

Just a quick but fun post for today.

There has been a lot going on lately -mostly not fun- but today, with the help of my Aunt, I am lightening things up a bit. So today's look is really simple and yet so cozy! I found this puffer coat at Target and really the rest just fell into place!

The main focus of this post is this adorable owl bag from Kate Spade. I had been planning a look to feature this bag, but I was planning an all black look. This look, however, I really prefer. The owl bag pops against the white of the coat and the red in the scarf as well as in the bag just bring it all together.

Not to mention this coat is so cozy! I wasn't really looking for one when I came across this one, but once I saw it there was no going back!

What do you guys think?

Have a great weekend! Stay safe and warm!

And a special thanks to my Aunt Sherry for loaning me the bag for this post! Its so cute! =)

Two Fun Styling Techniques...

Hello and Happy Monday!

I hope you guys are all staying safe and warm on this snowy day.

First of all, I want to start off by saying I took these pictures before out wintery mix came in. So, if it looks like I'm not bundled up enough, it is because it was very cold yet! >D

I like this look for several reasons. For one thing it incorporates one of my favorite styling techniques -mixing prints. I feel like I have not used this technique very much lately, so I decided to do it today. And today it was camo and a touch of plaid. This dress is still relatively new. I got it over the summer and worn it a handful of times. It is pretty simple and easy to style. The bag I have had for quite some time, and I just cannot bring myself to part with it. From the plaid pattern, to the winged sides, to the extra strap so it can be worn as a cross body, or shoulder bag -what is there not to love?

The other technique I used was pops of color. The bag of course pops against the green of the dress. The golden, detailed sweater also really stands out. And they complement each other as well.

And these booties are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I'm ever owned! I cannot get enough of them. They were from Shein and fit perfectly! I can't wait to style them with both flared and skinny jeans coming up!

I hope you guys are all well. I'm hanging in there! Thanks for reading and for the support! Stay safe out there! See you Friday!

True Friends Are Together in Spirit..

It has been a long and rough few days friends. I won't lie. One of my closest friends passed away and I'm honestly not sure how to deal with it. It just feels like a fog or a horrible dream.

This post is dedicated to him.

He loved this sweater for some reason. I mean it is a cute sweater but I didn't expect him to like it as much as he did. As I was trying to figure out today's post, I remembered that and though 'let's do this!'  Now I will probably keep this sweater forever!

That was really the base of this post. I got this swearer years ago at Forever 21. I loved it then and still do, hence why I hung onto it. Now it has more of a sentimental value.

My friend was so great. He was such a great friend and I could call him any time of day or night. He was such a huge supporter of the blog! He was one of the first big supporters. He went with me to my first event because I was nervous and scared of highways. He helped with pictures a few times. Aside from that though he was just a great friend. He was there when I needed. He could make me laugh. He was so supportive. He was really the best of the best. I'm going to miss him so much.

My heart goes out to his family and other who were close to him. I'm here for you if you need me. Thank you for welcoming and being so kind to me. You have no idea how much that meant! I

Santi, your friendship meant the world to me. I will love you forever my friend.

Two Ways to Style Cargo Pants Part 2....

1/6/2022

Hello! Happy Friday!

Just a quick post for today. It is another -well part 2- way of styling cargo pants!

The first is of course, more a summery style. I call it the 'Rachel Green' look. Because I def styled after a look Jennifer Anniston wore on 'Friends'

The second is more winter/fall. The draping of the sweater is one of the reasons I love it so much. That and the colorful sleeves. I just love them both so much and that is why I have kept it for so long!

Well, thank you for reading and I want to dedicate this post to one of my best friends, Santi. He was always so supportive of me and the blog and even helped me out several times when it came to events and/or posting. I love you so much my friend and I thank you, not just for helping me with the blog but just being such a great friend. I'm going to miss you so terribly.

I love you!

Reflections: And Staying WARM!

Hey all! And Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a great New Year and rang it in safely!

So this post is pretty casual but also I was trying to stay warm! After weeks of 70 degree weather, the temps dropped this morning! Not just that but it was also raining most of the morning so I had to get my pictures in later in the afternoon.

I always like to reflect on the years once we move in to a new year and of course 2020 was a different level of reflection lol. But even 2021 was an interesting one for me. I felt like I really realized what it means to take time for your mental health. I realized who my TRUE friends really are. When I was really struggling with my anxiety, those were the ones there for me. It was kind of saddening but also freeing.

I spoke of my anxiety openly and got a lot of really encouraging and uplifting feedback! You guys may never know what that really means to me! But just knowing I'm not the only one going through it -and that I do have friends and family that will help me out when I'm going through it- and we all can get through it really makes a world of difference!

I really just wanted to focus on my reflections from the past year and how I'm looking forward to the new year, so I kept this look very simple. Distressed jeans, a peacoat, and a chunky warm scarf!

What do you guys think? I hope you all had a great New Year! Stay safe! See you soon!
