Happy Friday!

I am very excited becauase I have a four day weekend coming up! I hope to relax, do some shopping, get some blog stuff done, and maybe even catch a movie!

I hope you are not sick of this beautiful peacoat yet, because I'm certainly not! It has already paid itself off given how many times I have restyled it. It is beautiful and warm! I can't get enough of it!

Today I went with a more casual look -although the coat definitely elevates it. I love the orange against the olive color of the pants. I wore this out shopping the other day and then later to pick out a Christmas tree with the fam.

My dad has some Christmas rules we all follow,; we don't turn on Christmas music or watch Christmas movies until after Thanksgiving. And the weekend after Thanksgiving is when we go get a tree. And apparently it has to be in the evening when we go to get it, and preferably cold. Oddly enough I'm on board with all of it. Who wants to get a tree when it is 60 degrees out!?

My dad just really enjoys Thanksgiving and everything that it is about. He wants to make sure it is acknowledged and not overshadowed by the Christmas rush -I have to agree with him on that!

Who else has some Christmas traditions or family rules about the holidays?

Thanks for reading! Have a great weekend!

XOXO

Happy Monday!

I hope you have had a great weekend! And now begins the Christmas season! I am looking forward to this holiday season! Personally I really enjoy the lights.

That is my favorite part of the season!

Today I'm sharing a different type of holiday post. I'm sharing different shades of red with you.

The overall tone is a deeper maroon/plum color. From the gorgeous drop hem dress and peacoat from LOFT, they go together almost perfectly!

The NY and Company boots are where the color differs a bit. But I love the contrast!

And to throw in just a little added color I styled my Shein bag with the look!

I hope you like it!

Thank you for reading!!

Hello and Happy Black Friday!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! I did! I'm very full now! But it was a great day with great family, friends, and food!

Today's look continues to embrace the fall season. I like the mixing of patterns between the skirt and the shirt. The skirt my mom and Aunt got for me. It is great! It is comfortable and easy to wear.. Bonus, it has pockets!

The coat ties the look together in a lovely way. The color is very warm and inviting!

Who is heading out for the Black Friday shopping today!? I may brave the crowds for a little bit, but I probably won't be getting up too early!

Thanks for reading!

Fashion Week Look 3:: Grace Boutique Jumpsuit...

Happy Monday all!

And it is Thanksgiving week! I am very excited for that!

Today I want to share with you this gorgeous jumpsuit from Grace Boutique! I got it back in late August or early September and I actually was going to pass it by. On the hanger it just didn't do much for me. But I decided on a whim to try it, and I'm SO glad I did! It is probably one of my favorite pieces I own.

First of all I really love the off-the-shoulder look. It is even better when the top stays in place and you're not constantly tugging on it or pulling it back up or down to where it needs to be... grrr that is no fun! Second of all the pants part is so cozy! It feels like you are wearing sweat pants! Which will be great with winter right around the corner. Plus, I have really come to embrace the wide-legged pant look. I used to think it would make me look weird or shorter somehow, but at least with this particular look, I feel like I'm 6 ft tall (well..... maybe not that tall but you get the idea!)

Third of all it has pockets -enough said! And fourth, it is so easy to style! I chose dramatic earrings for this particular look and a red bag for my pop of color! But you could do a dainty necklace or subtle earrings and a hat. Possible a scarf A denim jacket or a peacoat for when the temps get really cool.

Visually speaking, I am really happy with the way the pictures turned out. I love the colors of the leaves in the back ground and the way the sun is coming through the trees -especially in the last picture! I think it really makes the outfit stand out even more so, while capturing the essence of the fall season.

Thank you for reading!

Have a great Thanksgiving!

XOXO

Happy Friday!

The holidays are quickly coming up! Which is why I'm sharing a holiday look with you today! This is one of my favorite outfits! This top from Shein.com is one of the most versatile and flattering tops I have ever come across. The color is gorgeous and goes so well with just about everything! I dressed it up for this post, but its also easy to dress with denim and booties,  olive skinny jeans or grey skinny jeans.

I love today's look very much. Something about shorts and tights elevates the whole look to me. Coupled with a dramatic, statement necklace and it is a great look for a night out or a holiday party/dinner.

It is also perfect in the event that temperatures go from being in the 40's all week to 60's for the weekend and suddenly your outfit needs change from needing as many layers as possible to something cool and comfortable!

I hope you like this look! As always, thank you for reading!

XOXO

Holiday Shopping:: South Park VIP Personal Shopping Experience...

Happy Monday all!

This past Wednesday I was lucky enough to be able to attend a VIP personal shopping experience at South Park Mall. The event was hosted by Suzanne Libfraind. Suzanne is a personal shopper for South Park. As a personal shopper, she offers to meet you at the mall for a shopping session where she helps you pick out the most flattering shapes, colors, and designs for you. For your first session with her, you get a complimentary three hours free of cost!

This was my first time for an event like this, but it was clear that Suzanne went all out for it! She selected ten stores for us to go to over the course of the afternoon. At each store she had a handful of items selected to highlight for us. The whole experience was geared for the holidays; in particular gift ideas.

Each store was ready for us, with deals, drinks, food, and at a few places, gift cards! You certainly did feel like a VIP!

Today I am highlighting a few of my favorite places and pieces!

We started at Louis Vuitton where we sipped mimosas and laid eyes on some of the most carefully crafted pieces I've ever seen. From bags, to belts, to the sock shoe, to luggage Louis Vuitton never disappoints!

Next up was Tommy John! This store was impressive for several reasons. It has some of the softest underwear and camisoles I have ever felt! They also offer two pieces that I found to be very nice. A stay stuck undershirt, a shirt designed to stay tucked in no matter how much you move, due in part to a elastic hem and buttons at the bottom of the shirt. Lord knows how helpful that would be for me! Can we get women's shirts like that too please!? And Go-Anywhere pants. They look like dress pants but feel like sweats!

Bare Minerals showed us several great holiday gift ideas from mascaras, to eye shadows, to highlighters, and blushes... if I could take this store home with me I would! They generously gave us some free samples as well.

Trina Turk was possibly my hands down favorite place we stopped -maybe tied with Stuart Weitzman. I just love all of the beautiful designs they had there! I found tons of pieces I wanted just browsing around. They have been featured in a few fashion shows I've attended and I loved them then!

Johnny Was!....

...was what! That is what the store creators want people to ask! Based on a Bob Marley song, "Johnny was a Good Man," the bohemian themed store offers so many incredible pieces. A few of my favorites; a suede bucket bag, several beautiful necklaces, and an embellished bomber jacket!

Sur La Table was our next stop! They offered us some great hors d'Oeuvres and coffee while showing off some of their impressive gift ideas! From Miyabi knives, to quick and easy baking mixes, to The Smoking Box and Hand Held Smoker and even cooking classes! There are plenty of great gift ideas!

While these were my main favorites, we also made it to Stuart Weitzman, Vera Bradley, Athleta, and The Frye Company.

Overall it was a great experience! Suzanne was such a gracious host and definitely knew her stuff! I was certainly impressed with her and all of the stores we stopped at! I look forward to more events in the future! Suzanne, thank you so much! I hope to see you again soon! =)

Thank you so much for reading!

Sunshine on a Cloudy Day...

Happy Friday!

On rainy, cold days like today, I enjoy bringing in more color to contrast the gloomy mood.

That is why I am restyling this lovely, printed skirt from the Who, What, Wear collection at Target. I have restyled it a few times before and it continues to be one of my favorite pieces.

It is bold, fun, and feminine. It certainly brightens up my day! Since it is certainly much chillier than it has been lately -and about time!- I paired it with a faux leather jacket (a gift actually from my sister!), booties, and a layered necklace (both gifts from my Aunt!)

I love finding ways to pair typically summer time pieces as fall/winter pieces. Anytime you can wear a piece all year round, that is a good investment!

I'm pleased with how this look came out!

I hope you like it as well!

Sunday Simplicity:: Easy Fall Look...

Hello all!

I realize I am posting this on Monday but I actually wore this yesterday. I got some pictures for my post yesterday, and I ran a few errands in this. I have actually worn this once before too. I wore it when I early voted last Friday. And boy it was THE perfect outfit for that. Last Friday was cold and rainy but this outfit was perfect for it!

Not only is it warm and cozy, but it is very comfortable! It was perfect for an early Sunday morning too.

What I love about it is that it is easy to pull off. The hoodie under a coat is so effortless. I just paired it with leggings and booties. And just like that you have a comfy, chic look!

It is certainly a look that I will be rocking this fall/winter season!

I hope you enjoy it too!

Don't forget to go vote tomorrow!

Bright, Crisp Fall Colors...

Happy Friday!!

And what a week it has been! I am exhausted! And very much looking forward to the weekend!

I LOVE this look today. It embraces so much of what I love about fall/winter; coats, booties, sweaters, and even the beautiful fall colors. This coat I found from Shein.com (of course!) and I am in love! It has more of an coral/orange color to it than I expected it to, but that almost makes me love it more.

It reminds me of back when I was taking college classes a few years ago and I would purposefully always take this particular route because there were so many big trees with long branches and they were turning colors about this time. And driving down that particular road felt like you were driving in a yellow/orange tunnel. It was so beautiful! I just love this time of year!

The booties are another new addition to my closet. They are from Versona and in all honesty were kind of an impulse buy. I just saw them, loved them, and splurged! I think the plaid print gives them a more sophisticated look. I have a wide-leg jumpsuit that I can't wait to pair them with.

I hope you enjoy this post! Thank you so much for reading!

XOXO
