Prints, Color Blocking, and My Favorite Circular Bag...

Hey all! Happy Friday!

This has to be one of my favorite combos! It is casual. It is comfy. It is stylish! And it just flows together so perfectly!

This sweater is one of my all time faves. Its light weight and versatile. I've dressed it up before and today it is more casual. The distressed jeans -these I chose to style again with a less giant cuff and see what you guys thought. I love it both ways honestly. I still have other ideas for the giant cuff. But for this post, I like the relaxed look of the smaller cuff.

Back to the sweater! It is a Shein piece and as I mentioned before, it is pretty light-weight. Which makes it perfect for Charlotte weather -30's in the morning and 70's by the afternoon. Only kind of kidding! The color blocking is another feature I really love. Additionally the leopard print block takes it to the next level.

This circular bag has definitely become one of my favorites. I don't know if it is the shape or the color or both but I just love it! It adds so much charm and character to looks. I have found myself going to it time after time! I hope you are not sick of it yet! Because I for sure am not!

Thank you so much for reading! And have a great weekend!

XOXO

Hello and Happy Monday!

I love discovering different fashion/styling tricks and them trying them out myself. That is what I am sharing with you today. I recently saw another blog about four ways to wear the same pair of jeans. At least one way was really out there -inside out- I don't think I'm quite there yet... but we shall see! It did not look bad actually!

One of the ways was the giant cuff. I liked the way it looked and it seemed easy enough to pull off. So that is what I tried today!

I paired it with knee high boots for this particular look. But I may try again with heels and see how I like it. I do like the way it looks and it does add some extra character into jeans I have worn many, many times already.

Another feature I love about this look is the layered necklaces I put together. Two different necklaces that work together so perfectly! One if from my friends at Palmpe. I swear I have gotten the most joy and styling out of their necklaces. How they can be so delicate and have so much of an impact on a look, is beyond me.

I thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a great week!

XOXO

Not a Snow Post....

Hey all!

So as I am typing this now, we are supposed to get snow. Clearly I took these pictures earlier, which I try to do when I can. As of now, it sounds like we will get snow for sure. I'm also probably going to post a later post in the snow! I mean if I can get it to all work out correctly. We will see!

For today, this a relatively simple look that is a bit edgier but also temperature wise it is comfortable! Also, this is probably my last post with this sweater. It is just time. It is still in good shape! And it has served me well for several years. But it is time to retire it.

I absolutely love the dynamic color contrast between the sweater and the scarf. It strikes a warm, cozy feeling in me. As I mentioned earlier, it is a great outfit temperature wise. Its warm but not TOO warm. It also has some strong Blondie vibes going! I hadn't really thought about it until just now, writing this. But I feel like Deborah Harry wore something similar in her day! Actually, that could be a fun upcoming series! Recreating different Deborah Harry looks!? What do you think?

Well thank you so much for reading and have a great weekend!

XOXO

Criss Cross Sweater and Pencil Skirt...

Hey all! Happy Monday!

Today I am pairing my Shein skirt with a fun criss/cross sweater from KLA boutique.

Yes, I realize this is a bit of an odd pairing with the blue heels. But I figured, lets just go with it! It is something different! Something unexpected! I thought of going with a nude or a gold heel but then thought... no! Lets dare to be different! Lets insert more color to this look!

I LOVE it!

I love the over all look! I love the blue against the green.

Most of all what I love is the sweater. When I got it, I loved it as far as design goes. It was soft, cozy, and the criss/cross feature was gorgeous. However, my main complaint about it was that the sides were pretty open. You could see my bra easily with certain movements. So I took the sweater to my hands down favorite alterations place, and my guy was able to make it happen! I can wear it now without worry of exposing things I don't want exposed!

Now, I wish I could shout him out. But he did not wish for that, so I'll respect that. If he changes his mind, I will gush all about how awesome this place is! For the meantime, if I see you in person and you have questions as far as alterations go, I will point you in his direction! He has been a life saver for me many a time!

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great week!

Restyling on Valentines!

Hey all!

Happy Friday!

AND Happy Valentines!

Today I am sharing a look that works on multiple levels. It cost me nothing! I am restyling all of these pieces. And it is a perfect look for Valentines!  Honestly. I cannot tell you what inspired this look. I was browsing Instagram and saw a girl in a romper, but it had nothing to do with a sweater. All I know is something about it jogged my brain to think up this look; a sweater over a romper!

What I love about it? The sweater and the romper mesh perfectly together! The bag adds that extra pop of color that I love so much! And the Palmpe necklace adds a light, whimsical, romantic touch as well as an additional layering factor.

I hope you all have a great day today and a great weekend! I'll see you on Monday!

XOXO

A Beautiful Belle..

Hey,

Quick post for today. Sorry it is late. I'm having trouble with my laptop. ALL weekend -thru the damn tornado- it worked fine. Well, tonight it decided to act up. Great.

So anyway. I had the idea to pair to belle pieces together. Belle sleeves and belle bottoms. Or flared jeans as they are also known. I like the way they look together.

I had a guy once tell me that he hated my bell bottoms/flared jeans. Screw him. I love them. And no one is going to stop me from wearing what I like or dressing how I please. I love them. And he... he can well... you know.. go...

Thanks for reading! Have a great week!

Another Knit: And Also I Survived the Storm!

Hey All! Happy Friday!

And we survived the storm! It was wild though! I hope that everyone was safe and has power, if you don't I hope it is returned soon! When these kind of storms hit -Hurricane Florence was similar- I always feel so much gratitude for what I have. Yes, the storm was very unnerving, scary at times. But I was happy to be at work with people I love and who help me keep calm during tense situations. I was grateful that my family and my friends were safe (and the dogs were not traumatized.) I am grateful  it was not as bad as it could have been -although it didn't look like it if you drove through certain areas. We kept power, no damage to the home, my friends were safe, my residents were safe, and the later storms that were predicted to roll through did not. So I am extremely blessed and grateful.

Today I'm continuing my #knitscominatyou series. I personally like this look. Although my mom did not seem to love it as much. I kind of get it a bit. A chunky knit sweater paired with wide legged pants... I'm pretty short and petite it may be overwhelming for my size. I personally don't think so. I LOVE the colors involved in this look. That print against the red pant -LOVE! Actually that was my main inspiration for this look.

Also this circular bag... man, at one point I wanted to take it back. I didn't think I would use it. WELL, now it has become one of my favorite bags! I love it! You can probably tell, I feel like I use it a lot!

Anyway, thank you for reading! And stay safe, I hope everyone is well and safe! Stay tuned, I have some fun posts coming up in the future!

XOXO

My New Favorite  Sweater...

Hello and Happy Monday!

This is my second post in my favorite knits series! I know you have seen this sweater recently, it is part of a two piece look I posted a few days ago.

I cannot get enough of it! From the color and to the fit it is all around perfect! Best part is, I can get twice as many looks out of it! This sweater can be worn with pretty much anything! These shorts and Chucks, or with flared jeans -which you should expect soon! I wore it the other day with skinny jeans. There are other skirts that I am excited to pair it with! Ohh you will be seeing this again very soon! ;)

Also, I am looking forward to styling the skirt as well! I have a few ideas I am going to try out today!

What I love about this sweater.... are you guys here for a long post? Beacuse... no I'm kidding

What I love about it is three things; the color, the fit, and the coziness of it! The color is unique and unlike anything I had owned prior to it. The fit is comfortable, slouchy, effortless, and the epitome of a winter sweater. And the coziness? Well it is warm enough to with stand early morning temps and cool enough to not make you sweat like crazy once it warms up a bit. For when we have those dips into the 30s or 40s, throw on a peacoat or any jacket and you can have an equally stylish/cozy look!

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did!

Thanks for reading!

Knits Coming At Ya!

Hello and Happy Saturday?!

Yes,I wanted to kick off this new series on February so I postponed my post by a day. I deep cleaned my closet and got rid of a lot of stuff. Now what is left is several knit sweaters.

So over the next few posts I will be revisiting these sweaters with you! Restyling them in different ways. Starting with this one. I know you have see this recently but this look was so easy to pull off and lifted my spirits a bit. Granted you are getting two different shots of it. One was earlier on a Wednesday. Those are the pictures where my hair was pulled back. Weird story. I have been struggling with anxiety lately and maybe an hour or so before I took those pictures, I was panicking terribly. It was a rough one. But once I was able to calm down and focus my energy and attention on other things -like the blog- I ended up creating this look I really like.

The colors of the sweater really brightened my spirit and the effortless feel of it was also calming.

The strangest part of the day was that I felt like I had lost most of the day while I felt anxious. But really, once it passed I was able to get a few pics done, run a few errands, and get a haircut. The haircut is what you see in the other pictures! Hopefully you like it! I think I do!

Anyway, thank you for reading, thanks for listening to my story about anxiety, and a huge thank you to my friend Santi for calling me and talking me through it a bit!

I can't wait to share more of my sweaters with you coming up!

XOXO
