Who Needs Pants?!: Oversized Tee, Studded Fishnets...

Hello! And Happy Friday everyone!

I hope you guys are doing well!

Today I have a unique and casual look, but specifically planned look to share with you!

What's that? I forgot something?

I have really embraced a few looks that have been trending. Sheer looks for one thing, and today, the pants-less look!
Picture
Picture
Don't worry (Mom and Dad especially) I do have pants! Well, shorts anyway. And actually, how this look came about was that one day I was styling it with shorts and had it tucked in, but for some reason I could not get it to lay the way I wanted it to. So, after a lot of tugging and some mild frustration, I just untucked it. Thats when I realized I kind of like it untucked!

It had an edgy feel!

To complete the edgy look, I added rhinestone, fishnet tights, and a denim jacket. My loafers also paired perfectly! They really make it a great every day, spring look. They give a bit of polish to a grunge look!

This look is definitely going to be one I go to for concert events that I go to! Maybe even NF, when he comes to town! It will be perfect for it! It will be comfortable both weather wise and for dancing all night! And it is stylish!

What do you guys think?

Thank you so much for reading! I will see you again on Monday!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Lovely Lace: Patterned, Lace Skirt and Blazer...

Hello and Happy Monday!

I am starting the week out strong, with a bold look!

I am really embracing this sheer trend! I have been seeing countless sheer skirts popping up on my feeds and I decided I wanted to give it a try myself.

I actually got one skirt from Akira that is very beautiful too. I got it first and I love it, but it was a bit too long. And the way it is designed I am not sure if it can be hemmed and if it can, it will probably cost a small fortune. It maybe worth it, but I need to save a bit first.

Instead, I found another beautiful skirt from Shein that has a beautiful print as well. I love how the print looks against my legs! I think it is a very romantic detail.

I also love the contrast of a structured piece like the blazer against the lacy, sheer skirt. It is a nice juxtaposition.

I hope you have a wonderful week, and I will see you on Wednesday!

Mob Boss Wife: Velvet, Asymmetrical, Dress, Faux Fur...

Hello all! Happy Friday!

I heard there is a new style trend that is all the rage right now. The mob boss wife aesthetic!

I have been kind of curious about this trend, noting different takes on it. It seems like a really fun style! It has a lot of room for creativity!

So today, I am jumping on that trend! This is my take on the mob boss wife aesthetic!

The dress alone is a stunner! The rich color and texture has a glamourous allure to it! Which is one of the things that drew my eye.

But the asymmetrical, ruffled hem is another feature that grabbed my attention. Its sexy but also allows for a little ventilation! (It got a little warm taking pictures in this look, in the direct sunlight!) This will also be nice, should I decide to wear it in summer!

My first instinct was to style this cheetah print, faux fur coat with it. I just knew that the colors would work beautifully together!

Plus, the print really seemed in theme with the mob-boss wife aesthetic!

Ideally, I think I would like to style it with gold, strappy heels, but I'm in the market for those currently. I do like the strappy, black ones as well, but it makes finding a bag more difficult. I am open to suggestions!

Shooting this look was fun but also so uncomfortable for an introvert like me. Three different people told me they loved the fit -one lady made a point to come out of a restaurant to tell me! They were all really good spirited and ultimately made me feel confident and happy. But I sure felt like I was creating a small spectacle as well! So, I quickly tried to find a less populated area, which is where I got majority of my pictures (and where I ran into the third lady! Lol).

I really do appreciate those small interactions! So, thank you ladies! You guys really made my day! =)

Thanks everyone for reading! Have a great weekend!

Tough Chick Strength: Metallic Silver and Black...

Hello and Happy Monday everyone!

Fresh off a busy weekend, I have a bold but beautiful and stylish look to share with you. This look is for the ladies on the go! I like to get dressed up and wear a killer pair of heels as much as the next woman, but there are some days that heels just won't do.

Some days you need a stylish outfit that you can run around in all day without your feet hurting or heels slowing you down.

Today is that day for me!

Everything about this 'fit screams tough chic, powerful, strong! The metallic silver skirt is eye catching to begin with and I have shared a more dressed up style with it before. Today though, I needed it to fit my mood of strength.

To dress it down a bit more and to play into that theme of strength, I paired it with a black turtleneck and a slightly oversized, black denim jacket. Denim is a strong fabric and I feel as though the oversized design of it conveys a 'I am Woman, hear me roar!' message. And that combined with the choice to style black booties with this look, really sends that message home.

'Yeah, I can be stylish and still get shit done!'

That was my mentality when styling this look.

The ultimate result is a stunning look that can be worn to run errands during the day or day dates, meetings, or wherever you wish!  You never have to compromise when it comes to style!

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoy this look and feel inspired to create a look that is uniquely you!

See you on Wednesday! Have a great week! =D

A Casual Friday: Neutrals and Green...

Hello everyone!

Happy Friday!

Today I thought I would dial down my dressiness and go a more casual route. Also, bear with me, I know the lighting is not that great in these pictures. I did not really notice it until I went back to edit them!

This look kind of puts me in the mood of spring, between the neutral colors and the green trousers and the lighter layers. Interestingly enough, the puffer vest is pretty warming! It insolates my core really well, so I did not freeze while shooting these pictures! Actually, I was quite comfortable!
Picture

I like this look because it is a comfortable look! Comfortable and stylish! Plus, it works a few levels. With sneakers like I chose for this post, it creates a casual, day look. Nix the sneakers and pair some heels with it and you've instantly got a date look! Ditch the puffer vest and pair it with a blazer or a peacoat and you've got a great night-out look!

The bag was a nice change of pace from the black and silver bag I have been using in my posts lately!

Don't get me wrong, its a stunner! But I don't want to wear it out too quickly! Plus, this adorable circular bag does not get to shine too often! But it is perfect for this look! It adds a great character and charm to the look!

I love this setting! It is over in Stonecrest. It's a charming area! It is a courtyard in between several restaurants. Of course, I love the aesthetic of the iron rod chairs and tables, stone columns, and a fountain! And if you think this is a beautiful fountain, just wait! I shot an incredible look at one of my favorite shopping centers that hosts a really impressive fountain! I cannot wait to share that with you!

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this look!

Thank you so much for reading! I will see you again on Friday!

Self Love: Sexy Black Dress...

Hello and Happy Monday!

So, today I have a bit of a sexier look to share with you! A great Valentine's Day look for you ladies! If you were looking for a hot tamale dress for the special night out, this is a great dress idea! Hell, it is a great dress period! If you want a dress that will have you feeling fierce and sexy, this is THE dress!

That is how I felt wearing it!
Picture
Picture
I will admit I was a little nervous when I first put it on, because it is definitely the most risque dress I have ever worn. The is a lot of sheer with this dress!

But the more I looked at myself in it, the more I thought 'damn girl, you look GOOD!'

It is a journey I have been on for a while, learning to love myself. And this is a step in that direction. Loving my body and being confident in my body to wear something I would never have dreamed of wearing two or three years ago.

I really bought this dress for me. If my fella gets to see it and likes it, that is a bonus! But for me this dress is symbolic of my journey as a woman and finding my confidence!

I absolutely love how the back of the dress looks! In particular the picture where I am leaned to the left and have my right arm over my head. I felt so silly taking that picture and was certain it would be immediately deleted. But it ended up being my favorite one!

The dress is from a site called Akira (@shopakira on IG). They have a lot of really interesting, fashion forward pieces in their collection. This dress is one of those pieces that I spied and felt compelled to at least try out. This dress runs extremely small! I'm wearing an extra-large here and I usually wear a medium, depending on the fabric. I don't know if all of their pieces run small as well, but it is something to keep in mind. You may want to size up.

Returning and getting a refund is really easy though! The first dress I got, I did get in a large and quickly realized it would not work. So, I easily returned it and got my money back. But the dress stayed on my mind and I eventually tried again with a larger size.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Windy Mornings: Stripped Dress, Green Coat....

Hello and Happy Friday!

Just a quick post for today! And also, bear with me on this post! My hair was all over the place! I need a haircut terribly for starters, but on top of that the wind was blowing like crazy!

So, if it looks a little disheveled in some of the pictures, that is probably why. xD

This look is so warm and cozy!

This coat is one of my favorites! It does not get the usage it deserves! My main gripe about it is that one piece of inner lining flips out a lot!

You can see it in this picture clearly.

It drives me crazy! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep it down? My only idea was to iron it, but I'm a little nervous about how it will affect the rest of the coat.

It maybe something I just have to deal with. Sigh.

The dress is cozy as well! It is another piece I found on sale at Urban Outfitters.

The moment I saw this dress I had this look in my mind!

Truth be told, I had several outfit ideas come to mind, this was just the first. That was the main reason I went ahead and got it. I feel like it is a dress that I will get a lot of use out of. I love the color combination and the simplicity of the dress verse the more fun, textured coat.

Thank you so much for reading and keep your eyes out for more looks featuring this lovely dress! You will definitely be seeing it again!

Have a great weekend!

Think Pink: Pink Themes with Silver Accents...

Hello all! Happy Monday!

I hope you guys are doing well!

I wanted to kick off the week with a pink theme! I mean why not? Valentine's day is right around the corner! Plus, I tend to love pops of color anyway! ;)
Picture
Picture
I love the different shades of pink that I used in this look. I realize that it can be a little hard to tell in some of the pictures because of the lighting or shadows (that is one thing about the time change, I have a really hard time finding a good shoot time, where the lighting is perfect!) These two pieces, the skirt and blazer, are both slightly different shades of pink. Of course, the blazer has some black in it as well. I feel as though they compliment each other instead of competing.

The other thing I played around with in this look is small, silver accents.

It began with the chain belt. I am currently trying to expand my belt collection from zero to.... some lol! I feel like they are an easy, relatively inexpensive way to really elevate a look. I have a grand total of 4 (and one is technically my mom's!) I found this cute chain belt and had some ideas for it! Beginning with this look!
Picture
Picture
Picture
I love that it is just a little hint of silver against the pink. Of course, I styled the other silver accents around the belt. The shoes and necklace were no brainers. And the bag has once again proved itself to be a fantastic purchase! All of these small hints of silver help tie the look together. They also help the belt not be underwhelming!

How do you guys feel about the chain belt? How about the shades of pink? I think this is a great idea for a Valentine's date look! Or even a Galentine's party!

Thank you for reading! Have a great weekend! See you on Wednesday!

All the Small Things: Blink 182 Shirt and Metallic Leggings!

Happy Friday!

I hope you guys had a good week! I am kicking the weekend off with a casual, yet fierce look from Urban Outfitters! This is a great concert look! (Do you think Blink will come to Charlotte this summer?!) Speaking of concerts, I am always on the look out for someone fun to go see! This past summer it was Queen Bey! And this spring I am hoping to see NF!

When I was struggling to get sober, his music was wildly relatable! Sometimes he had me in tears, other times he had me amped up! My counselor suggested I write a breakup letter to alcohol, I struggled with this task. But then I heard NF's song 'Running' and I decided that was my breakup letter to alcohol. I printed out the lyrics and taped them in my journals.

All this to say, I am definitely trying to go to the concert and if I do, this 'fit is definitely a wearable look!
Picture

This look is a lot more comfortable than you may think!

Both the shirt and leggings are from Urban Outfitters. I have really been loving their pieces lately! They had a really good sale recently, so I did indulge in a few pieces. The shirt is an oversized shirt, which was one of my main reasonings for getting it. I love a good, oversized tee! Especially a graphic tee!

I also do like Blink-182! I'm not a diehard fan, but I do enjoy their music!

The leggings are also very comfortable! They are called Metallic Liquid leggings, which seems to be an accurate name! The sheen of the leggings does give off a very metallic look! But these two pieces work in perfect sync to really elevate this look!

It is sexy! Edgy! Badass! And I cannot wait to wear it out!
