Leopard Print Times Three!

Happy Friday to all!

This has been an extremely long week it or it felt that way at least. I don't know about you. It was good, for the most part but very tiresome.

So today, I'm sharing a fun outfit with you. My all time favorite print -leopard print!

I'll be honest, I was feeling creatively drained and out of ideas. I had some ideas but they didn't work out well. I was just going through my closet and I came across this sweater. I LOVE this sweater. I found it at Forever 21, a few years ago. And it has stood the test of time.

I love it just as much now as I did when I got it. Maybe even more so! I have found it goes well with skirts, jeans, boyfriend jeans, leggings, and apparently this gorgeous olive green skinny jean.

That is what initially hooked me. I love the contrast of the sweater and the olive color. Then, as I started to mix and match I realized I really like the additional leopard print of the bag and shoes.

It adds some fun to the look and switches up the style of leopard print!

I hope you like it as well!

Hello friends! Happy Monday!

I hope you had a good weekend and a good start to the week!

There is one trend that seems to be having a second (or 3rd) coming and I am very much in favor of it! Flared jeans!

Skinny jeans will always be my first love. But there is something so chic and effortless about flared jeans. I have been searching high and low for a good pair, however, I have found them a little hard to come by.

Which is exactly why I scooped these up when I saw them at Apricot Lane Boutique, during my try on session with Designer Diva. I could not resist!

I feel like I look six feet tall! The vertical detail on the front certainly helps with the lengthening effect.

Granted I did have to have these taken up a bit. :X Thanks to my friend at Vina Alterations, I not only got my jeans hemmed but they fixed my shoes as well! Actually this guy has helped me out several times and for very reasonable prices! He is now my go-to for any kind of alteration or shoe repair.

How do you feel about flared jeans!? Feel free to let me know!

Thank you for reading!

XOXO

Hello and Happy Friday!

I am READY for the weekend for sure!

Today I am sharing a favorite new dress of mine! I got this from a cute boutique in Stonecrest, Apricot Lane Boutique. I love this store! It has so much to offer!

Including this gorgeous number! This fitted, off-the-shoulder dress is just perfect! It is light weight but not not too heavy so you could wear it year round.

The deep wine red color is such a gorgeous color, in my opinion. It is elegant, classy, and very versatile. When I tried it on at the store, I was wearing booties, which looked really good. It had a completely different feel compared to this dressed up look I am sharing with you today.

I am also planning on styling it with knee high boots, and maybe even sneakers! Who knows?

A simple necklace would add a beautiful touch or a some simple earrings.

NOW! For the fun news! I'm happy to announce that on Feb 17 I and my good friend Designer Diva will be hosting a sip and shop event at Apricot Lane Boutique! I am so excited for this, and I hope you can make it out to see us and get some goodies! There will be drinks, food (catered by the amazing Danielle Agnew), beautiful clothing, and a lot of fun! Come check us out!

I will share more with you as the date gets closer!

Thank you for reading!

XOXO

Layers of Pearls...

Hello my friends!

Happy Monday! Today's post is fun for me! I was again experimenting with different pieces -I'm currently clearing out my closet and trying to weed out pieces I don't really wear. (Yeah, its going to be a long process at this rate! But worth it!) When I came across this button up top and blazer.

The idea to pair the two came instantly. And I LOVE the look! With leggings or dark jeans it would look very dressy but I also really love the distressed denim look!

My favorite part is the necklace layering! It is something I love to do every now and then but can be tricky. This particular look is only two different necklaces. One a long strand pearl necklace which I looped around my neck once. And the other is a much shorter necklace but with three separate strands of pearls.

I have done this before -actually with even more pearls!- and it really makes such a statement.

Next post, I am excited to share some fun I had with my good friend DesignerDiva playing dress up at Apricot Lane, here in Charlotte! We had a great time and have some fun stuff coming up soon!

Stay tuned friends! And stay warm!!

XOXO

Blue Velvet and Wine Red...

Hello and Happy Friday!

Today I had to play around with this combination a bit. I had originally shot  different look with the boots and jeans -a combo that I really love! But I hated the way it came out in the pictures.

I still wanted to do a look with the jeans and boots though, because I just really love the way they look together. The distressed denim against the deep red of the boots, is a great contrast!

What I love about this pairing is that the velvet blue tank adds a little extra texture and the navy stripes in the sweater really tie it together for a crisp, clean, easy-to-wear look.

I hope you have a great weekend!

XOXO

Happy Monday!

So, today, feeling inspired after hanging with some of my favorite people, I am holding true to my commitment of different blogs. I had the idea of doing different themed blogs. So for today's post, I am posting some of my favorite sweaters.

All of these sweaters are easy to style but they are three of my favorites! Three that have never failed me!
Picture
I wore a version of this look on my afternoon with two of my favorite ladies! Now in all honestly it was ridiculously cold and possibly icy so I wore sneakers and a coat, but the jist of it is the same. I love this sweater because of its' flattering design. And the colors are dark and easy to style. Its just such a great piece that also keeps you very warm! I have had this one for at least three years, and it never disappoints!

This next look is from one of my new favorite places! Goldkolth Boutique! This boutique is located in Ballantyne Village and the owner is one of the most gracious people I have met! The boutique has clothing for all sizes as well as hand made jewelry!  And the prices are reasonable! I can't wait to show you more of this boutique in future posts! But for the meantime, this was the first thing I ever bought and I have LOVED it!

I have dressed it up, like I did for this post. But also a wear it a lot casually  with leggings or jeans. It is such comfortable piece!

While we are talking of boutiques I love, I want to shout out to Grace Boutique! I have gotten several pieces from that boutique that I LOVE! This is one of them! This bat-winged sweater is extremely comfortable and very easy to style. It is another piece that has continued to prove itself.

Grace Boutique is now online! www.graceboutiuestyles.com! I am so excited! I have already found at least fifteen things I want! Check it out for sure!

My Black and White Affair...

Hello! And Happy Monday!

If you have followed my blog, you know I really love pops of color typically. I do! I really do love pops of color or colorful outfits! But there is something to be said for black and white.

So, today there is no pop of color!

However, I do love this look just as much! There is some print mixing and these SHOES! OMG these shoes are EVERYTHING! I absolutely LOVE them! Okay, I'll stop with the caps. But really, they are such a gorgeous AND (last one I swear) comfortable pair of shoes! I believe I found them on sale at Versona one fateful night and scooped them up right away. No hesitation. Now, they don't get as much wear as they deserve but that is mostly because I save them for really special occasions.

They add so much extra life to this look! A simple, but necessary addition. I actually had tried this look out with over-the-knee boots -which I didn't hate but it also didn't feel right either. I tried another pair of heels too before my eyes fell on this pair. And as soon as I saw them it was over. I knew it was a great match.

So one of my resolutions this year is to try and change my blog up a bit! I have a few fun posts in the works, and I hope some exciting news I can share with you soon! But so I want to try and change my blog up itself. I am starting with different titles and post content. I don't know if you will notice that or not. I may even switch up the site! Who knows!?

When I first started blogging, I was following only one blogger in particular and always felt so inspired by her. Enough so that I started Reagan: In My Own World. However, I knew absolutely nothing about blogging and as a result I have kind of set up my posts to mirror hers.  While my blog is no where near where hers is and she has no idea who I am, I still feel like I need to make an effort to make my blog more my own.

So, bear with me on this journey!

Also, if there are any topics you want me to address or post about, feel free to let me know!  I would love to hear from you!

XOXO

Happy New Year!

This is my first post of the new year!

I love this outfit! I love it for many reasons! Mostly because I love the colors and the textures. The cotton sweater and the silk skirt. And I absolutely love the casual look of the sneakers!

I always love the start of the new year, its a fresh start! I feel inspired all over again. I am really challenging myself to try new things this year.

I am very optimistic about this year, I think there are going to be a lot of great things in store! I can't wait to share more with you!

What kinds of resolutions are you making this year?

Thanks so much for reading!

XOXO
