Hello my friends!

So much I want to share with you! But I will start with today's look; another Shein.com look! I hope you are not tired of my Shein sharing. I cannot help myself! They have such great pieces!

This particular look is a two-piece look.

The sweater I was in love with right away. It has a comfortable, slouchy, loose fitted style and I love that. It drapes so easily over the skirt, over jeans, over shorts -pretty much anything! The skirt I was a little hesitant about because of the fitted design. At the same time I love the texture of both pieces together. I love the color as well! Not to mention between the two pieces you get twice as many looks! -Yeah you'll be seeing this sweater again soon! Heads up! I've already paired the sweater, with shorts, flats, heels, jeans, leggings... you name it!

The skirt will be a little trickier to pair but already I am thinking of pairing it with a white, off-the-shoulder top. I think that would make for an interesting spring look. Maybe a statement belt? Who knows!

As I said earlier, I have a lot I want to share with you in coming posts! I have a lot of ideas going on and themed pots that I want to share to help you guys out and honestly to help myself out. Writing is a great way to to get my thoughts, feelings, and ideas off of my chest and if what I share can help you out as well -win win!

Stay tuned!

Thanks for reading!

XOXO

No Day Job:: LootSwaay Style!

Happy Friday!

There  is a bit I want to cover in this post.

First and foremost I am shouting out my friend Robert -Reasons- Brown. I highlighted in him in one of my Spotlight Series and have attended two concert series he has hosted.

This is one of my favorite looks. I love the sweat shirt-under-a-coat look. It is just so effortless and warm! Which has been especially perfect this week with the high only being in the 40's. I head out to work at 5am and this look has kept me from dreading going outside that early. One thing I love about the sweatshirts from LootSwaay is how soft they are. When I got my first sweatshirt, I was so surprised at the softness. I pretty much lived in it the whole first week I had it.

This one a think I like a little better for a few reasons. I love the color! And in going along with that, I like the white print. In general, I like the graphics on this sweat shirt a lot. And the contrast makes it perfect. It feels definitive. The goal is to not have to have a day job, it is to be your own boss and make a living doing what you really love, In fact, on the back of the sweatshirt what I would consider the mission statement of LootSwaay is print, boldy and ambitiously. But the print font and size makes it seem like its more than a goal -it IS happening!

I'm also very partial to hoodies. I do not have a good reason for you, but I love the addition of a hood.

Another fun -I think!- part about this post is the hat. So. My day job -I know its ironic I wear a 'No Day Job' shirt for this post >D- I wear a hat at a my day job because I work in culinary at a retirement home and I hate hairnets. Well, I took these pictures on my day off. Some pictures with the hat and some without. For the ones without, I put the hat in the bag. I then forgot about it and next day I got up for work, could not recall where I put the hat -so I went with out it. Apparently everyone -residents included- have gotten to know know me WITH a hat and everyone had to do a double take when they saw me.

All day long I kept hearing: 'Wow, I barely recognized you!' 'What's different about you, you look different...' 'I had to look twice at you before I realized it was you!' 'Hey! Where's your hat?!' XD

So aside from this being warm, comfortable, and I really love that Robert is suceeding. He  is remarkable in so many ways. He  is talented; he makes music, he writes his own music, he designs, he puts together these events and then also gets everyone hyped for them and during them. His drive and passion are the two things that really stand out to me about him. Robert knows what he wants and he puts in heart and soul into achieving it. I would encourage everyone to head over to the LootSwaay website and find yourself a sweatshirt. But furthermore, if you have the opportunity to check out Robert Brown, ya definitely should!

Thanks for reading!

XOXO

fHello and Happy Monday!

I'm back to my old picture taking ways... well, at least for today's post! I had actually taken these pictures before I helped my Dad with his and decided I was going to experiment more myself. So, I will work on more pictures this week. This afternoon, Sunday- in addition to writing this post, I will be planning more outfit looks so tomorrow, Monday, I can just get started with pictures. My biggest issue is that I take my own pictures most of the time and I have to deal with the natural lighting, finding good angles/shot, hitting the self timer, then running into place and hoping it comes out right. That's why typically I take  them in the same place -it is just easier. BUT I'll admit I tend to enjoy posting when I find new places to shoot. So, it is worth it to try them out!

Wish me luck!

On to today's look. This sweater is my third piece from my Shein haul. This sweater is so cozy! I was instantly drawn to the the colors of the sweater. Bright, bold, and beautiful! In all honesty, I have not been a fan of the shredded sweater look generally speaking. But I decided I wanted to give it a shot. This particular sweater is not quite as shredded as some of the others I have seen. But it fits so comfortably!

In general, this is a pretty easy, stylish look to pull off. Every piece is complementary and flows together effortlessly. I'm think this sweater would look really good with flared jeans as well. I'm currently looking for a pair of black flared jeans. I think that would look really good with the sweater.

Of course my necklace from Palmpe Jewelry really ties the look together. I just love that shop so much! They have such cute jewelry. I'm heading back for another necklace and a few bracelets pretty soon! If you use the code PALMRIMOW you can receive 60% off for your purchase! So head on over and check it out!

Happy Shopping!

Thank you so much for reading! And I hope you have a great week!

Hey and HAPPY FRIDAY!

So earlier this week my Dad asked me if I could help HIM take some blog pictures. Granted they are not for a blog really, he has his own project he is working on and needed some pictures for it. I was very excited to help out and we got some great shots in. As we shot, I found other place I could use to take pictures. It won't be easy, especially in heels. But I think I am going to try them out.

That brings us to today's post. I kept the outfit simple, mainly wanting to try out some different areas. I think they turned out well! It DID take a lot longer and thanks to all the rain we have had lately, I will have to clean my flats. BUT I really liked how the pictures came out. Something a bit different!

The outfit itself was perfect for today. The sweater is light weight and ventilated, so I didn't sweat to death since today was a bit warmer than it has been. It was casual and easy to wear. The colors work perfectly together. The flats -more like loafers- are so comfy and I think the first time I have worn them on the blog.

Any way, next week I will have more from my Shein shopping spree!

Have a great weekend and I hope you enjoy this post! See you Monday!

I Like Your Sleeves... They're Real Puffy.. Shein Haul Part 2!

Hello and Happy Monday!

And welcome to my second post in my Shein haul! I have been so pleased with this shopping haul. There were only two pieces I know I am returning, only because they were not the right size. There is so much to love about Shein.com, but one of the thing I really appreciate is how easy it is to return products. You can make an account on their site, where you can keep track of your orders. Once you receive the order, you can confirm delivery and there are options to write reviews -confirming and reviewing products earn you points which you can use towards a future purchase- or return item. Then they give you a return label to print out and you tape it on the package and drop it off in the mailbox. You also have the option to have the money returned to your card or your Shein wallet -which is basically a store credit. That is what I typically choose, since I know I will be back soon.

I've only had issues maybe two or three times max when trying to return something. Each time there was a rep who was able to clear up the confusion and get me back on track.

On to the dress! This dress is such fun to me! It has so much character and joy in it! From the bright, bold print, to the bishop sleeve details, to the ruffle hem. I feel like I should be going out dancing in this! And the color makes it easy to style. gold, beige, black, even more red or another pop of color like blue or yellow would be fun to pair with it.

The best part? It was under $20! In fact I got five pieces and paid right under $60.

I hope you enjoy and are able to find yourself some fun things! Don't be afraid of online shopping at least not with Shein! Its easy and affordable, and as I mentioned returning things is simple!

Happy Shopping!

XOXO

Shein Haul Part 1: Color Block Sweater with Prints...

Hello and HAPPY Friday!

So I shared a post yesterday about my Shein haul that I received yesterday! I was so excited I couldn't wait to get started on new posts. I was eagerly trying everything on and finding different pairings.

This was one of the firsts that I really liked. If you know me at all, you know I love leopard print! But the color blocking in this sweater takes it to another level! I paired it with these pleather paper bag shorts and tights. In my opinion, it dresses it up a bit. Plus it keeps me at a comfortable temperature. I tend to run warmer, and winters in NC don't get THAT cold. I mean early in the morning, yes, but once the sun rises it becomes warmer. So, if I am out running errands, I may get warm quick.

Also this could be a great lunch date or date night look. IF it does get cold, you could always throw on a beige/black/burnt orange pea coat. You could throw a different bag with it. Maybe even shoes. If it is warmer, skip the tights. The possibilities are endless!

There are two pieces that are going back for sure. They weren't the right sizes. But what I love most about Shein.com is that returning things is ridiculously easy. That's why I never worry about shopping with them. They offer you the option to have the money returned to your card or to your Shein wallet, which you can use for future purchases. Another plus, they have fast shipping and returns. Win, win!

Thanks for reading! And have a great weekend!

XOXO

HAPPY 2020 you guys!!!

Emma from Friends -have you woken up from your nap!? Damn you Netflix for taking Friends AND FRAISER from us! I guess I need to start mentally preparing for when The Office leaves -next year! x(

Okay, on a more realistic note I am so excited for this year. I am resolving to do more interviews, give you more outfits, more style tips, and other things like when I hear of a good sale! I have a few endeavors I am hoping to see through this year, that I will share with you later. So stay tuned!

For today, I'm sharing a fun, off the cuff look! This dress I've had for a bit, but I think I may retire. I am once again on my clearing on splurge. This dress maybe one of the cuts. I love it, but I just do not wear it that much. But I wanted to share it once more with these crazy, cool earrings!

They were a Christmas present from a good friend and absolutely stunning! What I love is while they are big, they are very light weight. They are not heavy at all!

Thank you so much for reading and Happy New Year to you all!

XOXO
