Simple, Small Ways to Revive Old Pieces..

Hello all!

Happy Monday! For today's post I am sharing a simple way to breath new life into old pieces. I have worn similar versions of this look before. I love, LOVE this skirt and especially layering it over a closer fitting dress like this Forever 21 striped dress. My initial thought was to pair a black belt with it, which I tried and liked. But my eye fell onto this unique red belt and I had a great idea to try it out too.

I am so glad that I did! It gives the look a whole different feel. Fun and quirky And it is a great way to create new looks with old pieces. For a little additional character, I paired my circular Target bag with it.

We are finally getting to enjoy some sunshine and nicer weather here in the QC which is great! It made shooting this blog post much more enjoyable! ;)

Thank you so much for reading and have a great week!

XOXO

Ringing in the Weekend with Belle Sleeves and Sneakers...

Happy Friday to all!

Since its Friday and the end of a long week, I decided to just go a bit more casual today. Hence the sneakers. ;) While I do love my heels, I enjoy pulling these bad boys every so often.

It really changes the look of an outfit drastically. This look, paired with black boots or nude heels -heck maybe even a pair of cobalt blue heels would look much dressier.. It would be great for a night out or a date night. Any kind of special event. But with the sneakers it looks just as good but much more casual. You can run errands, grab lunch, or coffee. And then of course it easily transitions into a great night out look.

This extreme bell sleeve top is one I have one I have styled before, here. I really like this shirt! The color is neutral enough it can be paired with many different colors. The style is simple enough that it can speak for itself. The bell sleeves are stunning! And It even as a little bit of a peplum top effect.

I'll admit when I first got it -I found it on Shein.com- I was a little hesitant about it. It was shorter than I typically like shirts to be, and the peplum effect makes it a little difficult to tuck in. So I consulted with my fashion savy mother and she felt like it was a great piece. So I kept it. And I have to say I am so glad I did! The more I keep playing with it and finding other ways to style it, the more I really like it!

This is such an easy and comfortable look to pull off!

Thank you for reading!

Have a great weekend!

Hello and Happy Friday!

What better way to ring in the weekend than leopard print!? That's right, today I am bringing my favorite sweater back for a restyle!

A paired it today with one of my favorite skirts. I got this skirt from a blog post I did with NewChic.com a while back and I have loved it ever since. There is a hint of sexy with the rouging and the asymmetrical hem and the deep color green is gorgeous! It pairs well with many different colors.

This look is very comfortable and easy to wear!

Thanks for reading, I hope you have a great weekend and if you're in the area come see me and my friends, Designer Diva and Danielle Agnew at Apricot Lane Boutique on Sunday! There will be food, drinks, fashion, and lots of laughs!

XOXO

Faces of Fashion....

Hello and Happy Monday!

This Saturday I was honored to be invited to a Sip and Style fashion event hosted by The Face Magazine. Let's start with the location. It was held in a multi million dollar home -which was stunning! It was three stories, four bedrooms, and it had a movie theater on the third floor! I have been to many events similar to this, but this was such a unique and cozy location. It felt like you were at a dinner party. It made mingling more comfortable, you felt as though you were part of a family from the moment you walked in.

We had plenty of time to chat and get to know one another. I met a lot of interesting people. Including the Editor-in-Chief, Heather Combs. She looked gorgeous in a white jumpsuit and was such a lovely host! We were treated to a cooking demonstration by Chef Chris Williams. We all looked on as he sliced peppers to perfection! The results? A mouthwatering  dish of sauteed chicken and peppers over rice. Delicious!

The highlight of the night was the the fashion presentation by my friend and favorite designer, Tygerian Lace! She gave us a sneak peak of her spring line! If this was just the sneak peak, I cannot WAIT to see the whole line! Tygerian Burke, the designer behind Tygerian Lace, is such a creative lady! Her designs were outstanding! There was a maxi dress of black and white prints. There was an absolutely stunning maxi dress that was mostly sheer with floral details! How much more dramatic can you get? The whole presentation stuck with the theme of black, white, and red. Red, pants paired with a black and white blazer. Or A black and white printed pencil skirt paired with a sheer top adorned with the same flower details as the dress. Her creative mind blows me away! I am always excited to see what she has in store!

It was such a great night! And I'm so happy I was able to be a part of it!  To The Face Magazine and Heather Combs, thank you for the invitation and opportunity to celebrate with you! To Tygerian Lace, congrats! I cannot wait to see what all you have in store and for being so kind and supportive!

Thank you so much for reading!

XOXO

With Spring Around the Corner...

With spring right around the corner I am breaking out some of my favorite dresses!

This lovely LOFT, off-the-shoulder dress is one of my favorites! Its dreamy and has a romantic feel to it.

While by the afternoons it is feeling great and perfect for a light, airy dress, the mornings are a little cooler. So to keep warm I paired with this gorgeous Shein peacoat! Personally, I feel like it compliments the dress perfectly. The drama between the bold orange/coral color of the coat against the black and white pattern of the dress, is stunning!

I hope you have a great weekend! I will see you on Monday!

Thank you for reading!

Hello all!

Today's post is a fun one for me! I love pairing unique pieces together. Initially I didn't think either of these pieces belonged together. But then I paired them and I LOVED the way they looked when paired together!

The colors worked beautifully together first of all. But also the unique shapes the two pieces create is really fun! It is certainly different but that is not bad necessarily.

The dress is definitely of my favorite pieces. As is the sweater. The sweater I have had for a while and every time I start to give it up, I try it on and love it too much to let it go.

I definitely need to incorporate it more in my wardrobe. And I think this is a great start!

Check it out on the blog!
