Hello all!

I know Saturday is not my typical posting day, but I am feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to share one last post at this apartment. That's right, we are moving! To bigger and better things (I hope)! Just kidding, I think we are going to love the new place! And while I am very, VERY ready to move, the emotional side of me is finding this a little bittersweet. I learned a lot about myself, I moved in with my sister, and we got sweet little Luna! =)

But before I get sentimental, I wanted to share one last blog post with you, from this apartment. That's right This is the last post you will see on this balcony (strangely saddening for me in a way) but don't worry I'll be back for sure! ;)

This week has been a fun, yet busy week. I went to my first fashion show!! I will tell you more about it on Monday's post! But it was a great show, although I was nervous most of the night (I had to speak at the show). But overall it was an amazing experience and a huge step in the right direction for me.

Today I wanted to keep things simple with GAP boyfriend jeans and a LOFT top. Both pieces are very versatile and comfy.

On a side note, I wanted to say, I have the hardest time packing! And no, its not the ADD (although....... its possible it may play a part) but one of the things I have the hardest time packing is jewelry. I know it may sound crazy, but it frustrates me to know end! This year, I took extra care with my jewelry packaging! I wrapped all of my necklaces in either newspapers, plastic bags, or tissue paper (depending on what I had at the time). As for the rings and bracelets, I found a creative way to pack them.  I packed them in Tupperware! I don't know if I'm the first person to think of this, and to be fair, my sister and Jen both  ended up helping me come up with this idea) but I'm proud of it!  (I posted a picture below.) And bonus, you have a way to pack your Tupperware too! =D

What other packing issues, solutions, or creations do you know of?! I would love to hear them!

I can't wait to show you the pictures I took from the show on Mon! I'm so excited for what the future has to bring!

Thank you so much for reading and being a part of this chapter of my journey! I Love you all so much, and appreciate it all so much! =)

I'll see you next week from a new locations, can't wait to begin this new beginning with you guys! =D

XOXO

Hello all! And TGIF!

I don't know about you, but this week has felt extremely long! Probably because I'm eager to share this post with you! And what better time than in the middle of summer? I find myself on a never ending quest for a good pair of shades. My search maybe over, however! I recently discovered a company -Warby Parker- which sells sunglasses and eye glasses for both men and women.

The company recently launched their summer line of eyeglasses and sunglasses.

Their collection is lovely! The website is user friendly, just a few clicks and you can narrow your search down by style, frame shape, and/or color you want. The best part? they have a Home Try-On Program which allows you to select five different frames/sunglasses you like, they ship it to you (free of charge), and you get all five pieces to try on at home and decide upon. Once you have made your selection, you just slap the return label back on the box and return all five pieces. You then just go online and make your purchase. Its that simple!

Additionally, the customer service, that I have been in contact with, has been so kind to me!

I loved all of the shades but I really fell head over heels for the Raglan Pearled Tortorise tinted sunglasses. The fit was perfect and the design was unique and stylish!

I highly recommend checking out this company, there is a perfect fit out there for you as well!

Thank you so much for reading and a huge thanks to Warby Parker for partnering with me on this post!

Wishing you all a great weekend ahead! =)

XOXO

Hello and Happy Monday! =)

For today's post, I really wanted to spotlight these tie-up, wine-colored flats! I am in love with them! I been seeing them pop up all over the place and I think it was love at first sight for me! For one thing, they really add some unique charm to an outfit! And another reason, I love the look of gladiator sandals (especially the really epic gladiator sandals that go all the way up the leg!) However, being short hat particular look is not the most flattering.

With these, tie-up flats I have a little more creative space to experiment! For this look, I chose to tie them a little above the ankle. I wanted to keep the look relatively simple and yet still create an impact, so I paired it with a dramatic, high-lo hemmed, blouse. I love the blouse as well! I have restyled several times! It is so feminine and whimsical, and coupled with the deep wine colored flats I really loved the look!

What do you think?

Thanks for reading and I wish you all a wonderful and peaceful week ahead!

XOXO

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Jen and I set out yesterday afternoon for our possibly best shoot yet! We got some amazing shots! We found some amazing new places to shoot, experimented with different angles, poses, and scenery -I think it paid off!

For this post, I layered three different pearl necklaces. I love experimenting with jewelry and layering different pieces, there is so much possibility! This look for example, the various lengths in the necklaces make a dramatic statement. I kept the rest of the look simple so that the pearl necklaces were the main focus. One of the best parts of this look? You can change the look up simply by changing the necklaces! =)

What do you think?

Thanks for reading and wishing you a great week ahead!

Hello and TGIF!!

I'm so ready for the weekend! For today's post, Jen returned to help me with pictures! I always love to work with her! Today's post was an outfit that kind of fell together. I have always liked the contrast between the fuchsia skirt and striped Loft top. Then the sleeveless, trench, blazer caught my eye. The blazer makes the look a little more polished.

The necklace is so much fun! It was love at first sight when I first saw it! I had been looking for something similar for a while, and I couldn't resist when I saw it. It has several strands of tiny black beads, then a strand with several tassels, one final strand of grey/blue stones. Its chaotic chic and full of character!

On a side note, my heart goes out to all of the lives that have been lost over the past few days. We need to find some way to work together for the better, not tear each other down. To the families who are hurting and missing their loved ones today, my thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless.

Thank you for reading, I hope you have a great weekend ahead.

XOXO

Hello all!

I hope you are well and enjoying the long weekend!

Today's post is a little shorter than usual, mainly because I am hard at work cleaning and clearing things out. But also, it is insanely hot! I was outside less than 10 minuets and was pouring sweat! Not fun! :(

This look is simple, but with a bright colors to really make it stand out. The relaxed fit of the Loft trousers is comfortable and the printed blouse has a dressy feel (also it is light and airy!) Additionally, I love the details of the collar, and the small open back. Both details may not seem like much, but they are thoughtful and unique.

I had some fun with these pictures. In one, I am in mid-pose when the camera caught me, yet I really liked the end results.

I hope you do as well!

Thank you for reading and I hope you are enjoying the holiday! Happy 4th! =)

Moon Bloem Collab Part 2:: Khaki Vest, Beaded Details...

Happy Friday my beautiful friends!

I'm so excited about this post, I have so much to share with you! But I will get to that! Yesterday, I ran a lot of errands which is not fun in 90 degree heat, so I wanted something simple, airy, and comfortable. Which is what I love about this outfit. The black dress has saved me many times -especially in the summer!- it is extremely light and summery. The vest has a fun draping effect and creates a unique silhouette.

The Moon Bloem statement necklace really elevates the look! It adds a fun, unexpected twist. When we met and Cee was showing me the different pieces of jewelry that she had, I instantly gravitated to this necklace. I have a thing for statement necklaces and this particular one really struck me. Its design is meticulous! Each strand is beaded with different shades of pink, orange, and even a few rhinestone strands spread out evenly throughout the piece. Just a  hint of sparkle. I got several compliments on it yesterday!

As I mentioned, I have some exciting things to share with you all! Earlier this year I joined a group called The Fashion and Style Industry of Charlotte and met several amazing people, one of those people is a lady named Marie. She is the leader of the group, organizes meetings for everyone to get together, network, and indulge in our shared love for fashion. This group is actually how I connected with Cee (Moon Bloem) and Ty (of Tygerian Lace). I've gone to several of the meetings and gotten to know Marie, who is such a lovely person! She plans so many events -including a summer fashion show later this month- and while I can only imagine how busy and hectic her schedule is, you would never know it by talking to her! She is so calm, collected, easy to talk to, and generous. She reached out to me a few weeks ago and offered me the opportunity to be one of the lead bloggers for the re-launch of the Fashion/Style Industry website! I had to re-read the message a few times. It was so surreal!

We were able to connect last night at a fitting for the show and chatted more about it.

Needless to say, I am beyond excited!

I can't wait to share more with you in future posts, including the Fashion Show on the 28th! (It will be my first show!)  =)

Thank you so much for reading and being on this journey with me! Huge thank you to Marie for this amazing opportunity! And another huge thank you to Moon Blooem for partnering on this post! =)

XOXO
