Happy Spring!
I realize I am a day or two(?) late but oh well, I'm still excited!
Flowers are blooming! The weather has been gorgeous! Its about time to switch out my closet! Which means I have devoted several hours to meticulously going through my closet and weeding things out. For those of you who may be interested, I have several tips and tricks for this process that I would love to share with you in a future post!
But that is how I manifested this intriguingly unique ensemble. It is a head-to-toe Versona kind of a day apparently. From the dramatic, printed sweater, to the envelope clutch, to the red, peep-toe booties it is all Versona! The envelope clutch and booties are obvious staples, but the printed sweater is a real gem. Yet, I find that I have barely worn it since I got it. I can't for the life of me tell you why. It is simple in design, yet thoughtful (hence the printed sleeves and billowy silhouette). It is easy to style and always has a unique charm about it. But again, I find that I have only worn it a few times.
Its' partially due to the fact that my closet sometimes gets cluttered with things, which is why cleaning it out is so important. It ignites (for me) creativity as well weeds out all of the unnecessary clutter, thus leaving me with the very best pieces.
I began this meticulous process this afternoon and this was one of the first pieces I pulled out. I knew I wanted to incorporate it somehow and began to style around it. In the process I found three (and more) ways to style this piece. This was the look I settled on for today. It incorporates the casual, spring feel while the extra layer provides warmth (it has only been in the upper 50's the past two days). It is sexy yet classy, intriguing yet casual.
