Today I am focusing more on outerwear than a regular ensemble look. Reason being, there have been a few mornings lately where I will have to get up early for an appointment of some kind or an early workday and the mornings have been bitterly cold! It usually warms up a bit as the day goes on, but those mornings can be tough!
I typically find myself not as focused on the styling aspect and more eager to get something warm on!
OR similarly, I find myself having to cover up a cute look by throwing on coats and wrapping up in scarves.
So, I decided to put together a stylish but also practical outerwear look for those mornings when you are on the go!

It usually warms up a bit as the day goes on, but those mornings can be tough!

OR similarly, I find myself having to cover up a cute look by throwing on coats and wrapping up in scarves.
So, I decided to put together a stylish but also practical outerwear look for those mornings when you are on the go!
I'll start with the puffer coat from one of my favorite places -Target!
First of all, it you do not have a puffer coat I highly recommend getting one! This one is so light, so soft, so cozy, and SO warm! I got it last year towards the end of the winter. I had my doubts about how practical it would be at first because it was so light when I tried it on. I got it anyway, because admittedly I really liked the way it looked. But it quickly paid itself off!
It has gotten many wears between the end of last winter and the beginning of this one and it has kept me toasty warm each wear! It is more insulated than I realized!
Next is the plaid scarf. Really any scarf would work, but I chose plaid because I liked the how the colors of the scarf and the bag work together. Plus, it is one of my warmest scarves. It was a Christmas gift (along with the beanie) two years ago and my secret Santa that year knew me well!
And finally, the cobalt blue bag!
I have had this bag for several years and it is still in really good condition! I remember when I got this bag! It was exactly what I had been looking for, for a while. The crisp color, the batwing design, the sharp/clean lines. I just loved it! I still do! I think it elevates all of the looks that I style it with. Usually because I style to be the piece that pops. The piece that captures the eye! It sure captured my eyes!
