The Marilyn Monroe Effect: Pleated, Cutout, Dress...

Hello and Happy Friday friends! 

I am getting SO excited! I am going to see Beyonce next Wednesday! I cannot even put into words how excited I am! I am fully expecting to cry when she comes on stage! We are 6 days away! Eeeek! I am about to be a blubbering iddiot on Wednesday night! 

Ahh but I digress! Let me focus on today! And today I have a gorgeous dress to share with you! 

This dress gives me such Hollywood glamour vibes! It reminds me so much of that iconic shot of Marilyn Monroe in 'The Seven Year Itch' where her dress blows up! 

When I went to shoot this dress, I just had to go with big curls and a red lip to really lean into that vibe. 

This dress is so fun to wear! It flows so beautifully when I walk. It really balloons out when I twirl -which you will see later on! Not to mention it just makes me feel elegant when I wear it! The cutouts, the v-neck detail add just the right amount of sensuality without being too much! 

Now, all I need is an event to wear it too! 

It was very comfortable to shoot in, as it is very breathable. It also did not hurt that it was not 90-something degrees out! xD

For the shoes, I initially wanted to do something strappy. But at the moment, I do not have anything I thought would truly suffice. So, I went a different route. I paired these metallic, pointy-toed heels with them. I was pretty pleased with how well they work with the dress! They flow effortlessly. The silver color matches well with the off-white color of the dress.
