Hello all! And Happy Monday!
I managed to get some shots in, in between down pours! It started out with just a light rain, which I naively figured I could handle. I darted out, got a few pictures, and darted back in. Easy enough, right? Well then the clouds opened up and rain down poured! In my head I thought, what a great opportunity for some shots! Of course, my camera is "not one of those military grade cameras that could catch that" (a reference to 'The Office' for all the fans out there!) But I did love how the shots came out!
My only concern is with the shoes. I LOVE these Chinese Laundry heels! They are part pleather, and the other part feels like tweed, but I'm not exactly sure what it is. It is a lovely combination! Chinese Laundry continues to be one of my favorite brands for shoes! It started with unique styled flats and continued to grow with strappy heels, and now these beauties.
I was able to dab the shoes dry and I think they will survive this shoot -phew!
I realize this sounds silly, but when you find a great pair of heels -or any pieces in general- I want to keep them in as good as shape as possible for as long as I can. I have one bag, which is suede. I'm sure its probably faux suede, but it is a great bag all the same. My sister laughs at the lengths I go to keep it dry! If its' raining out, I will run from the car to the house. If its' down pouring, I may hide the bag under my coat.
I love these pieces and I want them to be around for awhile, so I take extra care with them.
This look in particular, I put together awhile ago and loved! Its so simple at first glance, but intricate if you look closely. The print in the blouse, the bag, and the heel of the shoes. It is full of character and life.
