Rainy Day Post:: Mixing Stripes and Leo Print...

Hello all!

I'm back to my regular posting location. Lol. I don't love it but I am determined to stick to my posting schedule (although I realize this week is off). But that sometimes means not being able to shoot with Jennifer or Anjeika, which limits me in where I can shoot.

Also today, the rain limited me. I didn't want to risk getting my camera wet or dropping it in a puddle, so I played it safe today -photo wise.

This is my second post that focuses on mixing prints. I had fun with stripes once again, this time opting for a more casual look by pairing it with leopard print. This Forever21 body-con dress (restyled back in February) has quickly become a staple piece in my closet. It is easy to style and it's design/structure is much sturdier than most body-con dresses. The reason this look works is because of the overall neutral tone of the rest of the pieces. The neutral palette allows the leopard print to pop without becoming too fussy or too busy.

This is a look I would recommend for someone who was attempting to step out  of their comfort zone but unsure of how sure to do it. It is easy and open for interpretation. Instead of a leopard print scarf, you could pair it with leopard print heels. Or a different printed scarf. Or a printed bag...  the possibilities are numerous!

Thanks for reading! =)

XOXO

Thanks Karen! I like the denim jacket as well! It kind of acts as a sort of anchor. tying the two pieces together with a neutral piece! I'm glad you liked it too! =)

I really like how you've mixed the stripes with the leopard print scarf! The clutch ties it together really nicely too :)

Thanks so much Carina! Funny story about it -I was actually on my way to check out and leave when I saw it and it stopped me in my tracks. I just had to try it! I'm so glad I did, because it instantly became a must-have in the store and a classic go-to item in my closet lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by! =)
