Today I am excited to share with you about a fashion show I recently attended. Instead of ringing in the New Year, we rang in a new era of The Face Magazine. They took some time off to rebrand and are now back, bigger than ever!
And what better way to celebrate their relaunch, than a snazzy, suave, fashion show!
It was held at the Le'Meridian Hotel in uptown Charlotte, a very swanky venue! It was hosted by Erica Bryant from WSOC TV and Ryan Jor El.
Pixton Design Group was one of the first designs to hit the runway. I really enjoyed their looks. The colors they incorporated in their pieces were the colors of peacocks -one of my favorite animals. It was a very summery, airy, line, even featuring some swimwear. And one dynamic, gold dress -to the left- which I want in my closet so badly!
Flow by Tara Davis was another line I really enjoyed! Tara is such a kind lady! She creates classy pieces that range from every day wear to elegant gowns for a night out!
Snarkeez is one of my all time favorites! Snarkeez has such a fun edge to their line! It is usually all black pieces but features different prints, materials, fishnet or sheer detailing, and boots! This time, however, a very pink, faux fur coat surprised everyone, as it made its way down the runway. Snarkeez always delievers!
Tygerian Lace is the final line I wanted to shout out. I love, love Tyerian Lace! Her pieces are always iconic! And they did not disappoint at the show! This time her use of vibrant colors and prints made a mark on the runway! There were sevearl two-toned pieces and a sparkling, maxi dress that really caught my eye. Great pieces that will be perfect for the summer!
She spoke about the importance of mental health and how kindness to everyone is so important because you never know what anyone is going through inside.
In my video on Youtube, I let her whole speech play in its entirety.
Mental health is something important to me. I can understand from my own personal experience, how it can become very hopeless, very quickly and that is a truly scary feeling. I'm thankful, a lot of my mental illness and anxiety was tied to my drinking. And I have been able to get a better handle on it.
But that is not always the case for everyone. So, I want to encourage everyone to really listen to that part in the video. Especially if you are struggling. There is help available!
Thank you, guys, so much for reading!
I hope you enjoyed this fun post! And stay safe!
I will see you on Friday!
