I am back with another Out and About post for you, this time I headed with my blogging besties, to a Barbie Brunch!
I'll be honest with you guys, I do not really get the hype around the Barbie movie (although I have heard a lot of really good things about it and now, I am kind of curious about it). Nothing against Barbie, I know I loved them when I was a kid! I just cannot fathom what the movie will be about. BUT I will give it a chance because I have a feeling I am going to be pleasantly surprised based on what I have heard.
And just because I do not necessarily understand the hype, doesn't I am not down to get dressed up with my friends and join in the fun!
I met up with my besties, Vikee -@designerdiva1103 and Ariel -@aly_adore on Sunday at Forty8 Hundred restaurant and bar. It was hard to miss! Decked out with pink balloons, a large pink welcome sign, and a pink carpet! It was my first time at the restaurant, but it was a great experience!
The staff were a lot of fun! Very sweet, accommodating, and dancing their hearts out with the rest of us!
Stepping into the restaurant really made you feel as though you were transported into Barbie's dream world! Pink decorations, pink tablecloths, pink lights, and the most bedazzled bathroom I have ever seen!
Of course, all the guests were dressed in head to toe pink!
Outside, there was a glittery backdrop and more balloons for everyone to take pictures in front of!
Back inside, there were so many delicious Barbie themed brunch and drink options to choose from. Vikee chose the pink waffles and a Messy Barbie drink, while I got the jerk salmon with spicy habanera curry sauce and a Mermaid Barbie mocktail. Vikee is one of the sweetest people I've ever had the pleasure of being friends with! She right away asked the waitress if she could make it without alcohol for me and when I asked her to taste it for me first, just to be on the extra safe side, she happily obliged!
And I'm so glad she did, because it was a really delicious drink! And a perfect Barbie brunch drink! :D
If you have seen it, let me know what you thought about it!
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
See you Friday!
