How has the first week of the new year been to you!? For me it was a pretty good week. I felt like I stuck to my resolutions pretty closely. I worked out even when I didn't want to, I rested when I needed to, I have been more honest with my feelings -don't get me wrong I still have a ways to go when it comes to improving myself. But I'm proud of the efforts I have made this week.
With every new year comes resolutions! The chance to start all over and recreate yourself. That is the exciting part of the new year and I'm no different. I have decided that this year, instead of just setting the same old resolutions, I am also going to come up with plans. For example, I love my blog and sharing with you guys. But there are plenty of days that I have brain fog or I feel uninspired, even just tired. In the past I have worked an 8 hour shift and then come home and tried to take pictures and create a whole post in two or three hours. I'm tired and don't have the patience for anything that could possibly go wrong. Being fatigued, my posts have been short and vague... that is not the kind of blog I want. I want people to read it, enjoy it, and maybe even get something out of it.
So, this year, I decided to create a plan for my blog. I decided that when I do have free time I will aim to take advantage of it. If it means getting shots of several different looks or writing up a post or editing pictures, that is what I am going to do. I may not be perfect at it all the time but it gives me something to strive towards.
Which brings me to this post, sort of! I mentioned last time that I took several pictures with different looks before the holidays because I knew it might be harder to get pictures in then. That is what brought that idea about. This is the last of those pictures.
This is a fun look that is relatively simple in style and easy to pull off. Every piece of this look are favorites of mine. The sweater and the skirt compliment each other well, while the pops of red in the mules and the clutch really pop.
Thank you so much for reading and stay warm!!
