Hello and Happy Monday!
I know its been a week! I haven't forgotten about you though! I just took a week off, to relax and focus. I'm so happy to be back though, because even though it was a great week, I felt like something was missing.
So, I am happy to be back with this fun ensemble! Its different but intriguing. It was one of those looks that just came to me. I have had this dress -Forever21- for a long time now and it is one of my favorite pieces. The scarf I found recently on a shopping trip. I found it at Goodwill, of all places, and was instantly drawn to it. Between the electric color and the elephant print, I just had such plans for it! For me, it was an easy pairing; this scarf and dress.
Which brings me to the second half of this post.

If I'm being honest, lately, I have felt creatively frustrated. I felt like I couldn't come up with anything new or interesting or fun. I took the week to just regroup, relax, and focus. I did some research, and reading -I found this great book called The Little Black Book of Style- and realized I am just overthinking everything! I feel like most women do. Which is why I want to share this post with you.
The book stated -as did a lot of my research- that style is what really stands out to others. Following trends is alright, but finding styles or specific pieces that really speak to you and embodies you, is what truly sets you apart. I chose this particular look because its different. It is fun. It maybe leave some scratching their heads, but I love it. To me it embodies who I am.
