Hello and Happy Monday! 

I hope you are all well! 

Okay, don't judge me, but I am already beginning to have the urge to style fall-ish looks! I know it is early August and about a million degrees out still, but I cannot help myself! 

I can feel it right around the corner and I am getting eager for it! 

Today's look is a look that could pass for a fall look! But it could also be good for a date night or ladies' night (which I just enjoyed with some of my favorite ladies!) 

Yes, I was literally a hot mess while shooting this look! I was sweating hard! 

But this look is a constant go-to look in my life! It is flattering and polished for starters. The use of texture and small pops of color add a bit of character. 

Another bonus to this look is that you can easily change the look by swapping out a bag, blazer, heels, or accessories!

Hello and Happy Friday friends! 

I am getting SO excited! I am going to see Beyonce next Wednesday! I cannot even put into words how excited I am! I am fully expecting to cry when she comes on stage! We are 6 days away! Eeeek! I am about to be a blubbering iddiot on Wednesday night! 

Ahh but I digress! Let me focus on today! And today I have a gorgeous dress to share with you! 

This dress gives me such Hollywood glamour vibes! It reminds me so much of that iconic shot of Marilyn Monroe in 'The Seven Year Itch' where her dress blows up! 

When I went to shoot this dress, I just had to go with big curls and a red lip to really lean into that vibe. 

This dress is so fun to wear! It flows so beautifully when I walk. It really balloons out when I twirl -which you will see later on! Not to mention it just makes me feel elegant when I wear it! The cutouts, the v-neck detail add just the right amount of sensuality without being too much! 

Now, all I need is an event to wear it too! 

It was very comfortable to shoot in, as it is very breathable. It also did not hurt that it was not 90-something degrees out! xD

For the shoes, I initially wanted to do something strappy. But at the moment, I do not have anything I thought would truly suffice. So, I went a different route. I paired these metallic, pointy-toed heels with them. I was pretty pleased with how well they work with the dress! They flow effortlessly. The silver color matches well with the off-white color of the dress.

Hello and Happy Wednesday! 

Today is a big day! Not only am I sharing with you a post of my time at the Havana Nights Summer Show hosted by Charlotte Seen (@charlotteseen on IG) today, but I also just posted a new vlog on my YouTube channel! It is a lot shorter than the Seattle video; you may be happy to hear!

I'm cannot tell you how excited I am to finally be creating videos! I have been talking about YouTube for a while and now I am finally doing it! I am still learning it, so bear with me! It also covers this summer show, so if you are not interested in reading, you can always go watch it instead! 

Summer Show and Unboxing! ​

On to today's post! On Saturday, everyone came together to transform the Embassy Suites uptown into a Havana club! It was a party to celebrate summer and to celebrate fashion. Everyone looked fantastic in Havana themed ensembles. (I will touch more on this in a moment!) 

Arguably one of the most fun parts of the show was the dancing! There was so much dancing! Early on people seemed a little hesitant to hit the floor, as the night went on the dance floor became more and more populated! In fact, at one point the singer, Cristine, taught everyone how to do the meregue! She even had yours truely out there with both of my left feet in all of their akward glory! xD

Also featured at the show were two artists, Melissa Crosson (@melissacrossonart on IG) and Keyon Chisolm (@vile.kingstudioart on IG). 

Both were very different in style but full of life, color, and stories. I got to speak to both artists a little at the show. Both Melissa and Keyon are very interesting. Melissa wears many different hats in addition to artist, including designer! And Keyon told me a little about his journey as an artist and what drives him. I've actually been in touch with him since and we are hoping to get together soon so I can share more of his story with you! 

And of course, this post would not be complete without a little bit of fashion! 

There was a short runway show, with only two designers. Adline Griffin and Luna Sewell. There was both women and menswear that showcased on the runway, and all of it was centered around the Havana themed evening. For the women, there were vintage dresses, a lot of prints, off the shoulder designs, head scarves, and a lot of color! For the men there were also a lot of prints and color, tailored suits, button downs, and fedoras. 

Even a few kiddos hit the runway, looking cute as can be! I always enjoy watching the kids walk to the runway because you really never know what they will do! Will you get a sassy four year old that sashays down the runway? Or one that stops like a dear in headlights? One of the younger ones walked all the way down the runway and then just kept walking into the crowd! It is never a dull moment, that is for sure! 

I really hope you enjoy this post! I had a great time at the show and congrats to both of the designers and all of the models, you all did great! Once again, Charlotte Seen threw a great party!
