I'm so excited to share this post with you! It is a very special post for me because I had a very special and amazing photographer with me! Don't get me wrong, I have loved everyone I've worked with but this time I worked with my Grandma -Jane Vanderhill!
Earlier this week I was trying to get some good pictures in myself at my apartment when suddenly it dawned on me -I have a published photographer visiting right now! Now if you ask my Grandma any of this she would probably blush and not give herself the credit she deserves. She has a great eye! She had a photo make the cover of a magazine, Look Magazine, (I included the picture below.) Growing up, I remember her always loving to get pictures of everyone when we were all together (my family, all of my cousins, aunts, uncles, etc.) and she would always direct everyone as to where to go, where to stand, where it was she wanted to shoot the pictures at, etc. I remember that distinctly. She would get group shots, family shots, ones of her and her (now grown) kids.
Of course now we are all older and don't all get together as much as we should probably, but Grandma didn't miss a single beat. She quickly began directing me on where to go, how to stand, to take off my sunglasses, turn this way -no, that way! -No, too far! -Aw that's perfect that's a nice one! We laughed constantly about how my camera has a mind of its' own and is very sensitive to touch. (Sometimes it needs a good push, other times you barely push it and it clicks away.) We had to hang on to each other as we tackled my parents' gravel driveway, and the dew-y grass. But we did it! And we lived to tell the tale! So I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them! =)
Special thank you to my Grandma, Jane Vanderhill! I appreciate this and love you so much! =D
Thanks for reading! Hope you all have a great weekend!
