Hello all!

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great Halloween!

...and now the holiday rush begins! I am excited but I also and kind of sad, because I do love October and Halloween so much!

Today's look is yet one more way to style a set. And I was inspired by content creator Chealseaasoflate (on IG) for this one! I love her styles so much as well! And she has styled a crop top over a button down a few times. I have always liked how she styled it but never thought much of it, until one day!

I was trying to come up with some looks for upcoming shoots, and I came across this set. That's when it dawned on me, I could try this style! I did and voila! It worked!

So, all credit for this look goes to her!

I love how sharp and professional this looks!

It is definitely a power look that screams boss bitch! I feel like the peacoat adds to that vibe. And some long pearls just for a little something different!

Thank you so much for reading!

Have a great weekend! See you on Monday! =D

The Sassiest Jumpsuit Look To Date...

Hello and Happy Monday!

I hope you are all well and rested, and ready for a new week!

I think I am! I spent all day yesterday resting mainly, though I did get a look shot also. But I do have another long work stretch coming up before I have a little time off.

BUT I wanted to start this look off on the right foot! Or maybe, the sassy foot!

This denim jumpsuit has made itself at home in my closet and provided me with several great looks, including this one!

Picture
Actually, this maybe my favorite look with this jumpsuit to date. As you guys know, I have been honing my personal style and trying to really grow in it without fear. You know, have FUN with my styling. This look is exactly that -FUN!

It combines some of my favorite style elements like pops of color, mixing prints, and a statement necklace. Now I know that sounds like my ADD mind went into overdrive -and perhaps it did! - but I feel I pulled this off in a way where all of those elements flow together harmoniously.

I feel like each piece brings a bit of character to this look and is crafted specifically to match me as an individual.

This healing journey has also been one of getting to know myself and I would say overall it has been a joy! Especially from a style perspective, I find myself taking more risks and enjoying putting these looks together. Not that I didn't before, but I do feel like I went through a period where I was trying to fit in with what I saw online, as opposed to focusing on the styles that really get me excited!

I think that is a common thing as we go through life, but I am definitely happy with where I am at now. I feel like you can see it in my posts, my styles, my writing.

Thank you so much for reading and being on this journey with me! I appreciate you guys!

Have a great week! And I will see you on Wednesday!

The Coziest Coat This Season!

Hey everyone!

Your girl is about to go solve a mystery! Either that or going shopping with Lorelei and Rory Gilmore! Or at least that is how I feel when wearing this gorgeous green coat! Especially when I have it tied.

The Gilmores definitely had some fantastic coats! And fantastic coats are definitely something that I am leaning into this season!

I wore this exact look out to a spooky, fall social last week! I loved it so much that I had to create a whole post!
Picture

In my humble opinion, this is one of the best fall looks!

The colors in particular fall -punny! =D- in line with the fall leaves changing colors.

I especially love that it is not an overly warm look. The coat works for the cool temps in the mornings, but then once it gets hot, I can just easily take it off. The jumpsuit, though long sleeved, is pretty light weight.

And the other thing that I really love about this look is how easily it can go from a great day look to a stylish night out look.

For the day, I paired it with orange Addidas for a sportier feel. It was comfy for walking around, taking pictures, running errands -everything! But with just a simple change of shoes and maybe a sleek ponytail, I am also ready for a night out!

Denim, Lace, and Gold Accents!

Hello and Happy Monday!

I hope you all are doing well! I wanted to kick this week off with a fun look that focuses less on color and more on the accessories!

Today I wanted to lean hard into gold accents, and to do that I went for a more neutral color theme. That said, I do love how the lace and denim go together really well. It is a tough fabric meets feminine fabric, and I am here for that contrast!
Picture
Picture
The gold accessories really bring character to this look -and of course the red stockings, I still need a LITTLE color!

As you may have noticed, I have gotten really into chain belts lately. I have found that they add a lot to looks and are not outrageously expensive. This one has crescent moon shapes that I love a lot. My friend, Vikee (DesignerDiva!) and I were at an event over the weekend, where we were talking about crescent moons and how meaningful they are to us. Lo and behold, I happened to be wearing this belt!

Coincidence? Maybe! BUT we ARE in the spooky season.... I'm just saying!

I love that I was able to keep the gold accessories consistent, all the way down to the heels I chose. It is subtle details like this that really add to a look! It keeps the outfit anchored and put together. The average may not necessarily be able to put their finger on it, but they will like it!

It is also how you can create different looks with current pieces. Swapping out accessories can create an entirely different look! Stay tuned, because I will show you what I mean in a later post! Safe to say, you will be seeing this overall dress again.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed!

I will see you all on Wednesday!

Sex in the City: Green Pleather and Ruffled Tulle!

Hello everyone! Happy Friday!

This look is like a stylist's dream! Or at least THIS stylist's dream! I have been waiting eagerly to pair these two pieces together since I got the coat in July! I love everything about their pairing! The contrast between the colors is electric! But what is even more interesting is the contrast of their design!

The coat has more of a business/boss bitch kind of vibe -at least comparatively- while the skirt is like... Princess of Genovia -said in Julie Andrews voice!
Picture

Together they give off a Carrie Bradshaw vibe. Yeah, yeah, she's the worst (or so I've heard), but her style is AMAZING! And this could not be better timing because I am about to do my very first watch of the show! I'm excited and nervous! I'm really watching for the styles, and if there is tea spilt too -so be it!

I love the whispers of the tulle skirt that peak out from below the coat when it is tied. But of course, I love when the skirt is on full display when I leave the coat open!

And both of these pieces were finds on Amazon!

Already the coat has come in handy, with the temps plunging this week. I wore it out to a fall social event last night. And I have another event tonight, that I may wear this look too! I have not fully decided yet, but it is a contender!

Thank you for reading! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead! And I will be back with you on Monday!

Boss Babe in Pink!

Good morning, everyone!

Happy Monday! I have been feeling really good lately and I wanted to kick off this week with a power look! It is also a bright pop of color in itself! But it fully reflects my mood of late. Very bold, very fun, very confident! Ready to take on the fashion world!
Picture

This particular look I tried on, on a whim.

I had another look in mind, but I knew the striped turtleneck would look good with the pink trousers. And I knew I wanted to pair the trousers and blazer together. I did not realize how much I would like this look though!

It is easily one of my favorites of all time! It looks as though every piece was made to go together!

In my opinion, it is the smaller details -the silver accents, the large white flower, the statement necklace, and even the sleeves of the turtleneck sticking out under the blazer sleeve, that really pull the look together though. It was one of those moments though, where piece by piece it all came together.

There was not too much trying this and that, it was a pretty straight foward styling sesh this time around!

This blazer has been with me for several years now and has become such a beloved piece in my closet! I got it at a boutique years ago -I cannot even recall the name of the shop off hand, its bad, I helped host an event there a few years back! x0
It has since closed, so I guess I am somewhat off the hook! But it was definitely a great purchase!

This week should be a fun week! I have a few events this week: a fall social, a balloon festival, an open mic night with my guy, and dinner with friends! It's a lot, but I am excited!  I may just wear this look out to one of the events! So, keep an eye out in my stories!

Thank you for reading! I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!

Stay safe and I will see you on Wednesday!

Sheer, Silver, and Red All Over...

Hello and Happy Friday everyone!

I had so much fun shooting this look the other day! It felt AMAZING outside and it had me in such a great mood! I love being outside during this time of year! I also really loved this fit! It also has a French vibe similar to this look a few posts ago.

I cannot explain why I am leaning heavily into French themed fits lately. I guess the beret?! I had no idea when I got it how much I would actually wear it! Makes me think maybe I will do a styling video around it... hmmm. Food for thought!

The red stockings have also been a lot of fun! I have enjoyed styling them a lot! If I am being honest, I want to find other colorful tights to style! On my wish list, light blue and pink!

I did not realize how much they would add to a look!

They were kind of last minuet decision. I had had the idea for the look for a while, but minus the tights and beret. I am glad that I went with them though, because I do feel like they complete the look!

Pop of Plaid! And the Return of the Blue Flower Pin!

10/6/2024

Hello all!

I hope you are having a great start to the week!

I bet you were not expecting to see this big blue flower pin back so soon! As it turns out, I am OBSESSED with it! So obsessed in fact, that I ordered another one that is white to go with a pink and black blazer -or this one for that matter- for upcoming posts! Yes, it seems I have entered into my strange but fun accessories era!

But honestly though, it adds the right amount of character to this blazer in general and definitely to this look!
Picture
Picture
I love this look! From head to toe I feel like it exudes my personality! Its' stylish, but also fun and is not too serious.

This plaid skirt is perfect for fall! Plaid is a staple print for the fall season, in my opinion. Though, heads up, this is skirt is not a heavy fabric. It is very light weight. Plus, it has a long slit, which is especially long for me. I had to pin it, and it is still pretty long. That is one of the reasons for this choice of blazer.

The longer blazer gives me a little more coverage. Additionally, I love the way the blue pops against the plaid.

My plan is to head to Michael's or Hobby Lobby this week and see if I can find some decorative pins to pin the slit so that I can wear it regularly without fear of a wardrobe malfunction. If I strike out there, I will take it to my alterations lady and see if she can stich it up a bit.

I already have so many ideas for this skirt! I cannot wait to continue styling it!

What do you think? Are you a fan? Also, I'm curious, how much of a slit are you guys comfortable with?

I do love some drama with my fits -well drama in a good way! I don't want a Marilyn Monroe moment! I almost had one the other day and trust me, no one wants that! xD

Thank you so much for reading! I wish you all a great week! And I will see you on Wednesday!

Check Mate: Checkerboard Print and Red Mules!

Hey all! Happy Friday!

This look got A LOT of love the other night! I wore it out to an event and fun fact, when I initially went to get ready, I had NO idea what I was going to wear. I had a few ideas but nothing concrete. Typically, I'll have an idea and if I don't like it when I put it together, I will tweak it until I get the look I want. But it is usually a variation of my original idea.

Not the case this night. This night I had no idea what I wanted to wear! After two looks I wasn't crazy about, I finally decided on this skirt. Then I built the rest of the look from there.
Picture

I posted it on my stories the other night and it got a lot of love there as well as several compliments that night. So, you know I HAD to share it here too! It was too good NOT to share!

The combination of the checkerboard prints, and bright, bold colors work so well to bring character to the skirt. Which is what caught my eye. I decided to really lean into the bold colors with the bright red mules -which could have been made for this skirt- and the yellow book bag!

It is so charming and fun! I love this look so much!

It is definitely going to be in heavy rotation this season!
