Happy Monday everyone!

I am flying high on a great weekend! Well mostly great. The work part ehhh.... BUT I'm looking on the positive side! I had two really fun, successful events this week, met some amazing and creative people, and have content for days!

AND! I am eager to get started tomorrow on more projects! Outfit ideas, videos, and vlogs!

Has anyone ever had content over-load? That is kind of how my brain feels right now -but I'm here for it!

This look is such a solid one! It encompasses everything I love! There is a pop of color -red, with the bag and shoes, prints -the leopard print pant, and texture -the denim vest AND the faux fur (PETA don't come for me!) of the handle of the bag.

And while it does sound like a lot, when done correctly all of those features work together to create an effortless, summer look!

They are also great transitional pieces into fall as well -which you'll be seeing soon and always gets me excited! =D

Before we begin that fall transition, I do have a special project that I am going to commit to! 10 days of summery looks! It will take us through the end of August -mind you this will exclude weekends because they tend to be busier for me with work- and will conclude summer looks for this blog! After that I will be more focused on fall looks -temps be damned! Lol.

These will be videos on my Youtube page for sure and most likely on IG and TikTok as well -you can find me at Reaganinmyownworld for all three platforms!

Wish me luck! And see you on Wednesday for the weekly Vlog! :D

Season of the Jorts!

Happy Friday my friends!

I hope you are well!

I had an even last night and I am still flying high from it! It was an event full of friends (old and new), networking, and -of course- fashion!

I got a few goodies to share with you soon too!

BUT before that, I want to focus on today's look!

It is the season of the jorts, you guys, and I am here for it!

I have been seeing these everywhere! I LOVE the look of them! I have been kind of hesitant to try them out myself, because I'm so short. I was afraid they would not do me any favors.

But finally, I just decided to go for it! I mean worst case scenario; I don't like them and send them back!

Guess what?

I LOVE them!

I feel like they give a more mature look to the fit while still keeping in line with a summery theme.

For this look, I was experimenting with my jorts, and mixing and matching, until I came up with this look. For the most part, this look stays within a blue color scheme. Even the striped button down, has blueish/green hues to it, so it all comes together perfectly!

Then of course, a fun pop of color with my Karl Lagerfeld bag! Man, that bag has already paid itself off! I love it so much!!

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I will see you on Monday!

Be safe!

Salutations friends and family!

Happy Monday!

I am ready for a new week, and I have a busy one at that! It will be fun though! (Make sure you are following me on socials to keep up with what I am up to!)

To start the week, I want to share this styling with you!

I tried something a bit different for me with the head scarf. I typically do not wear head scarves because they don't stay put very well and I find myself constantly having to put them on again. That was the case for this shoot as well. It stayed put well enough for the hour I shot, but barely!

Still, it really worked well with this look! I love the print against the color of the dress in particular.

The dress is so comfortable! It is a parachute, cargo dress. I actually tried styling it once before, just as is, with jewelry. It was not a successful shoot -you'll see more on this weeks' vlog- and I ended up abandoning that project. When I got back to it, I just threw this knit top overtop of it just to see how it would look.

I really liked it!

The look began to really take shape from there! The head scarf came next, and the bag was a no brainer!

The earrings were a fun addition. Similarly to the top, I just tried them on for fun and loved the sass they added to the look!

When I shot this look it was the day before Tropical Storm Debbie hit. We were getting a little rain from her this day as well, but not much. As it turns out, shooting looks right before a tropical storm is actually prime time to shoot!

No one is around and it is significantly cooler!

I hope everyone was safe during the storm! Thank you for reading!

See you all on Wednesday!

Leopard Print and Sparkles!

Hello and Happy Friday!

Today I am sharing a fun look that is perfect for Friday!

This look stemmed from my desire to pair those beautiful green heels with these leopard print pants! I LOVE the way these two pieces look when paired together!
Picture

I tried to keep the base color of the look relatively neutral, to allow the heels to really pop.

There is also a bit going on with this look, so keeping the base color neutral, helps to tie everything together neatly.

I like this look because it is an easy day-to-night kind of look. With sneakers or sandals, you have a great look for running errands or going to lunches with friends. Throw on a pair of heels, and you have a great evening out look!

I know this is a shorter post today! Bear with me! The storm had me up EARRRRRLY this morning and I am feeling it tonight! I am about to crash!

Thank you so much for reading! And I hope you enjoyed!

Have a great weekend! I will see you on Monday! =D

Style Renaissance: Styling Pink and Red...

Man, this summer I learned something about myself: I'm not cut out for NC heat.

Well, humidity really. It's nonsense!

I could handle the Utah heat pretty well. Granted we woke up to temps in the 50's there, so at least it did not start off suffocatingly hot, like here. Ughh!

I SWEATED through these jeans, guys! Just taking pictures!

Okay, enough complaining. It is a brand-new week, and I am going to start it off on a good note!

Speaking of which, check out this fit! I am all about this look! It is a little bit sporty, a little bit chic, and A LOT of fun! I had been thinking of this styling for a while but sat on it -I'm not really sure why. I am glad I did, because I came across this super cute, Karl Lagerfeld bag that completes this look perfectly!

I'm not really a designer bag kind of girl typically. Even though I love certain designers, I just cannot bring myself to justify the cost of the bags (or clothes, or shoes!) But for my birthday this year, my Aunt and cousin gifted me a Karl Lagerfeld bag. I styled it and posted it in a blog. I was trying to find a link for the bag, and in searching, I came across this bad boy!

I fell in love right away! But again, I was turned off by the price. However, this time I thought on it and had some money I had set aside for something special. Maybe this could be it?!

Spoiler alert: it was it!

I took the plunge, treated myself to the purse, and have no regrets!

One other thing about this look that I love is that it kind of throws out the fashion rule book a bit. There was a time when it was unheard of to style red and pink together! It was the same with brown and black (I'm sure there were other color combo no-nos but those are the two that come to mind.) But I feel like right now we are living in a fashion renaissance! A time where you can really have fun with fashion and take greater risks -and it is celebrated!

It is so fun from a styling perspective! And people are really taking off with it! The creative sides of people are really shining through. I know I am enjoying it myself! My style has really taken shape the last three years!

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post! And that your week is off to a good start!

Stay safe! And I will see you back on Wednesday with Part 2 of Utah!

Battle Scars: Drop Waist Mini Dress...

Salutations friends and family!

When I began this journey into style blogging, I had no idea that could possibly include bodily harm!

Of course, naturally, I'm being a bit dramatic. But I did scrape up my knee while shooting this look! Thankfully, I do not have much of a story to relay. I did not face plant or tumble downstairs. No one was around to see it. I simply lost my footing and surprisingly, gracefully fell. It was such a non-issue that I did not even realize that my knee was scraped until I was looking back at a picture in the camera and noticed it.

Now, I am diligently washing it and applying ointment, in hopes that it will heal quickly and not scar!

Today's look is one of my all-time favorites!

I feel so sexy and feminine when wearing this dress! The color alone is so dreamy! Lilac is one of my favorites. It can almost be mistaken for blue, especially in certain lights.

To keeping in line with the feminine feel, I styled with silver accessories. And for a little contrast, I styled the darker, denim jacket with it. When I tell you I was melting -OMG! It was a scorcher! 10/10 do not recommend! Maybe for a date night or to the movies, but not for perusing around the Arboretum! xD
