Hello all! And Happy Friday!

I have been struggling through with a cold this week, and it has been ROUGH. I am hoping I am on the upswing of it now though. Fingers crossed!

On a positive note, we have been getting hints of Spring! This whole week has been gorgeous! And it has had me in a pretty good mood, despite the cold!

Today's look is leaning into the Spring-like weather with some of the colors and pieces.

I actually wore this look to a Galentine's day event earlier this month. It was a hit there! Also, my guy liked it a lot too, so even more bonus points! =D

For this look, I wanted something feminine, cue the lilac dress, and romantic, cue the lace and pearls. The sparkly stockings and ballet flats were also part of my initial vision. I knew both would work perfectly with the feminine theme.

The green socks were a last minuet decision!

I felt like the color was light enough to flow with the dress and it matched with some of the green in the flowers of the ballet flats.

I personally love how it came together! It feels like a Spring dream!

What do you guys think?

Fuzzy Hats, Metallic Silver, and Checkered Prints... Oh My!

Hello and Happy Monday!

I love this look I'm sharing with you today! It is SO fun! (I know, I know, I say that a lot!) I feel like I have been on a roll lately with creating looks! Inspiration has been flowing freely, and I love it! I feel like in general I have a better sense of self and my personal style, fine tuning it to what I really like and what allows my personality to shine through. As opposed to trying to style based on trends -which I have done before. There's nothing wrong with that necessarily, its' all about finding your own personal style, and I think I have found mine!

Side note: this fuzzy, pink hat has been coming in CLUTCH for me lately! I cannot get enough of it! I am now currently look for one in a baby blue color!

This look features two pieces from my favorite, retro, bizarro store, Dressed in Lala.

The skirt and the moto jacket! I got the skirt towards the end of the summer last summer. I love pretty much everything about it. The colors, the color blocking, the checkerboard print, the fit, and the way it can easily be worn all year round! In my opinion that alone makes it a great piece!

The moto jacket is vegan leather and has a retro feel to it. It is slightly oversized and actually has a belt that goes with it. I used it for another look, so that is why it is not on the jacket in this look. I think it adds a bit of extra spice to this look.

The hat was added on a whim, I just wanted to see what it would look like with the fit. And as you can see, I loved it!

My mom did a double take when I went to leave to shoot this look. She was not completely on board with the pink hat, since there is so much red in the look. Fair. I know the fashion rules used to say that was a no-no. But I think those rules have bent back a bit and it is more acceptable to wear the two colors together.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed!

I hope you have a great week ahead!

Having Fun with Styling: Yellow Tights, Dino Sweater!

Hello all! And Happy Friday!

If you saw my latest styling vlog, you will recognize these tights and kitten heels!

It felt only right to share with the look that inspired my hunt for yellow tights today! I happened upon this adorable dinosaur-in-a-rock-band sweater on Shein (damn ads!) and I was drawn to it. I thought it was cute, but I also appreciated the silly aspect of it as well. I had the idea for this sweater with a green skirt rolling around in my head. Then one day, it hit me! A pair of yellow tights would really make the sweater/skirt combo a LOOK!

After that it was on!

I quickly popped the sweater into my cart and then began to scour the site for yellow tights!

They were surprisingly hard to find. Mainly because the one I found initially would come in a pack of other tights or yellow tights with print, or tights that looked like there were ribbed, or tights that were a pale yellow -you get the idea. Trying to find a single pair of yellow tights proved to be tricky!

But I finally found them!

It was one of the wonderful moments where the actual look completely matched the look I had in my head! I love when that happens!

The best part is coming up with additional ways of styling the tights was surprisingly easy! That made me feel even more confident in my purchase!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post! If you are interested in any of these pieces, I will like them below!

Have a great weekend and I will see you Monday!

Denim on Denim and Embellishments!

Hello all! Happy Monday!

We have had a rainy, few days here lately and when I shot this look it was rainy AND cold. I was hoping the denim on denim would suffice in keeping me warm, but no. It was no match for the wind that day. But I sucked it up and got the pictures taken!

I love a denim on denim look! But what I love even more is being able to restyle my favorite pieces! I have had this denim jumpsuit for several years now and it has never let me down!

Today I dressed it up with some pink tights and a shacket with my beloved large flower!

Now the real star of this show is this bejeweled bag!

This is another piece that I have had for years! Now I mean I got this back in like 2015 -my word it is 10 years old! Consider me shook!

I have not carried it in a bit, some of my other bags have stolen its' spotlight for a bit. But I have not had the heart to give it away in all this time. It is still in great shape and an overall beautiful bag! It has also become a great travel bag -I use it as my carry on!

I decided to give it a little make over by gluing jewels to it!

I really love it!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello and Happy Valentine's Day!

That is the theme of this today's post -of course!

The inspiration behind this look was my desire to pair the red tights with this snakeskin romper. I knew the print against the red would be dynamic! And it is!

From there I just slowly built the look I wanted.

I decided to stick to a red, white, and grey color themes to keep with the Valentine's Day theme.

The surprise piece in this look is the belt! The romper comes with its' own tie belt. But it just did not really have that much of an impact with this look. So, on a whim, I switched out the tie belt for this rose embellished, statement belt instead and I was surprised with how much I loved it!

I was pleasantly surprised how much it stood out against the print!

All in the Details: Overall Dress, Graphic Prints!

Hello and Happy Monday!

Today I have a fun look for you! I love this look because of all of the small details that come together to create the look. It is mainly gold and red accents all the way through the look.

You may also notice that I am continuing to experiment with socks in the outfit!

I don't think that this will be a trend that will completely take over in my styling, but it is fun to play around with!
Picture

It started when I wanted to wear this 8-ball, cherry shirt with the overall dress. I liked the colors together and they are both cute/casual.

When it came to the socks, my first thought was a blue/green pair with avocados on them. I thought the blue in the shirt and the socks would complement each other. As it turned out, it felt like too much. So, instead, I opted for this white pair with strawberries. I think the small pops of red work much better together!

The gold accessories were other details that I really like about this look. I layered some charm necklaces, added a chain belt, and broke out some strappy gold heels!

This overall dress has been a great find, especially now that we are slowly beginning to transition into spring! This is a perfect look for that!

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed and have a great week!

See you on Wednesday!

Sparkles and Shine: Building a Look!

Hello all and Happy Friday!

Today I have a fun and retro look for you! If you caught my vlog about building a look, this look won't be new to you. The inspiration for this look was wanting to pair the socks and heels together. Listen, I have been seeing girlies styling socks and shoes together and it looks really fun and imaginative! So, I wanted to take a shot at it myself. This is my first attempt! I wanted to keep it relatively simple. Just a solid color, no prints or fringe, or anything else.
Picture

It was a little bit of a trial-and-error game until I got to this look! But it was worth it! I LOVE how this look came out!

I kept the base color black/grey and allowed the pops of green as well as the small pops of color in the shirt and in the patches, to tie the look together. The iridescent gold stockings have been such a great find! (Actually, I am on the hunt for a new pair, because this pair has a run in it. I found out while shooting this look. But thankfully, you can't tell in the pictures.) They elevate this look in a big way! Not only do they dress the look up a bit, but they tie in so perfectly!

And finally, the pearls! I have been really loving my pearl necklaces lately! I just went with my gut on them. Initially I had picked out a silver, cluster necklace and it was okay, but it did not really pop the way I had hoped. On a whim, I tried layering two of my long pearl necklaces and loved the element they added.

The Color Combo of My Dreams!

2/2/2025

Picture
Hello all! Happy Monday!

I hope you all are doing well!

Today I want to share with you a color combination that has me in a chokehold! This gorgeous fuchsia/raspberry color and lime green! This is one of those looks that kind of built upon itself.

I'll explain.
Picture
Picture
Every piece in this look -except for the bag and belt- are pieces I already own. I got the belt with this dress in mind. I knew I wanted to pair them together. I also knew from the get-go that I wanted to pair this jacket with it, since it is February and not exactly sleeveless dress weather.

Then I had the idea to layer the lace turtleneck underneath. I was not sure exactly how it would go but as it turned out, I really liked it!

The boots and the bag are both in the same color family with the fuchsia in the dress, so they just made sense.

And the result is... a LOOK!

Not just an outfit, but a LOOK!

And I won't lie, I had a bit of a skip in my step all day wearing this LOOK! ;D

So, quick story! While shooting this look, I shot it on two separate days. The first day I was at a different location, and I did not get much done that day. I had already shot a look, and my attention span was fading for that particular day. The spot I was at had a small set of stairs, which I liked the aesthetic of and was trying to get some good pictures with. Well, the coat has a belt that goes with it and while trying to get some pictures while holding the jacket -which I don't usually do, I was trying something different- the belt got tangled up in my feet and I landed on my butt!

Thankfully it was a relatively graceful, anti-climactic fall. No one really noticed, I don't even think I bruised afterwards! But I was pretty much done shooting for that day. I tried again the next day and made sure to leave the belt at home! xD

Thank you for reading! I hope you have a great week ahead!
